Hmmm. Either (a) Bohn truly made the decision to fire Embree today or (b) he's already formed a "search committee" and likely has a short list. I'd guess it's (b). What I know for sure is that we need a true "home run" hire (not the Hawkins variety). Seven consecutive losing seasons is a big enough hole. We can't afford to dig a larger one.

It is different this time. Bohn knows this hire better be solid, so he will make the call. I think you can look at Chuck Neinas as a "search commitee".

Not sure why this news creates any reaction. Of course he's forming (or has already formed) a search committee. All ADs do that. I read the other day that Auburn's search committee is made up of 2 former players (Heisman no less) and some other people I don't remember.

I support Bohn totally in using all the available resources he has at his disposal to get this decision right. I'll repeat, Hawk was seen as a home run so you can't blame him for that; JE appears to have been forced on Bohn by others. So this probably is his last Football hire (especially if it doesn't go well w/i 3-4 years).

I actually have a lot of faith in Bohn and believe he will Get it right!
