What does Bohn do regarding racism accusations?

If I were in his shoes I'd be super angry. I would issue a scathing response and get myself in trouble. What should Bohn do? Just keep his mouth shut? How long could he do that? He will have to respond eventually. Essentially, Mac, Embree, Klatt, et al, are calling Bohn, DiStefano and Benson racists. That is pretty serious.

Quote the head of the Black Coaches Association who basically said "what do you expect when you lose to an FCS team?"

Ignore it. Anymore everyone gets called a racist. Not to bring politics into it, but the House of Representatives gets called racist on a regular bases. For taxes and things that have nothing to do with race. One day we'll all be telling our grandchildren the fable of 'The Boy Who Cried Racist.'

Ignore. But Mac and those shouting racism and using the race card would no longer be welcome if it were me. This is the worst kind of smear on Bohn ther can be. I am very critical of the guy, but he did nothing wrong here and for Mac and others to use their bully pulpit like this is simply disgraceful.

Ignore is the most obvious answer. If Bohn responded, it means that he has stooped to Embree & McCartney's level.

Agree with everyone else so far, ignore it. As long as the national media doesn't buy into the claims, just let it fade away. This racism campaign can't continue for much longer.

Well, one of my points was that, at some point, he will be confronted with the question and will have to respond in some manner.

I agree 100%. I would not openly be critical of McCartney or Embree or any of these guys who are spewing the race stuff. They are certainly entitled to their opinion. However, it is time for the University to move forward and distance themselves from these people.

The decision to go in a new direction was based upon the results on the football field. Next question.

Nothing. Racism claims brought up by a fringe group of people with personal agendas who aren't looking at the situation with a level head. Pointless, move on.

And Abs responded with what he should say.

This whole thing is stupid. Barely anyone is talking about it nationally anymore. The local media guys will probably have it for another day or so, and even they'll move on. Mac single handedly did the best thing for the AD that he could, and turned their argument into a joke. Bohn should send him a thank you note.

And the only national story on it was the fact that of the 40-some odd NCAA head coaches who have been black, only 1 has ever been re-hired at another school. Even when it was briefly a national story, there was no heat on CU nationally. It was more matter-of-fact than anything.

Who is accusing him of racism? I mean overtly...not "you fired a black coach" - then everyone thinks that person is accusing Bohn of racism.

One of the upsides of the information overload, social media, superficial, attention deficit disorder, 24/7/365 news cycle is that this story will become ancient history in in about 48 hours. It will last as long as a twitter tweet. Then it's on to the next thing, whatever it is.

ready for the conspiracy angle... mac went crazy rant nuclear and fell on his sword by making the argument a joke in an effort to force the angry segement of the local media to distance themselves from it in a move to create unity among the fractured base...

now i dont buy it for one second and im the one putting it out there BUT since waldo believes in way crazier **** than this...why cant this be a possibility

Exactly true. This will fizzle quickly.
