Jim Mora Jr. wanted the CU job back in 2010.

This was never reported but I can say with 100% certainty that it is true and Soloman Wilcots also alluded to it on the radio a couple days ago. We seriously took an NFL position coach over an NFL head coach?

would he have taken it for $750K a year? Lot more involved than just "interest".

It doesn't mean anything. Les Miles was "interested" virtually until the very end of the 2010 search.

Don't forget the environment at the time. Hawk had just **** all over just about every CU tradition there was. There was a vocal push for a "CU guy" from the usual media suspects and a portion of the fan base. And most importantly, CU was in poor financial shape. Not sure what Mora would have cost us, but it definitely would have been much more than Embree.

I said he "wanted" the job, not that he was "interested" in the job. There's a big difference.
OK, so what's your point? He "wanted" the job, but was not "interested" in it because ..........

If CU was willing to pay what Mora "wanted", there might have been a whole list of others "interested". Two years worth of water under this bridge.
