Football: Players want say in next CU Buffs coach

I think if I were Bohn, I might sit down with the team captains and ask them what qualities they think are important in a head coach. I simply include this as one piece of data along with all the other pieces. I don't entertain them suggesting any names, just qualities.

This may ease some of the pain of the transition, makes them feel a part of the solution and hopefully jump starts buy-in when a coach is finally selected. I wouldn't normally entertain such requests, but given the theatrics of Embree's departure, something like this may help in the short term.

I am sure there are some risks here, like when the selected coach is a polar opposite of the qualities the team desires.

Would something like this indicate weakness on behalf of the AD?
