the more I hear it, the more it sounds like a smear campaign.

Mac is a great Buff, the man who brought CU to the top, the Buff Godfather. Now that the obligatory praises are out of the way, may I suggest for your consideration: Operation Velvet Hammer.

If you are tired of hearing the local radio hacks who are supposedly acting in the best interests of the University get on air and scream failed leadership, racism and unfair concerning the firing of Embree, why not do something that might actually put an end to it?

Start calling the sponsors of the the offending radio program and complain. Start with Sil Ter Har Motors. Make it known you will be buying elsewhere if they are going to sponsor this kind of irresponsible radio.

What could it hurt?

I am so irritated I am considering this. Thoughts?
 
It was only a matter of time before somebody here decided to go after the geeks on the radio. Let it die. It'll die on it's own soon enough. Nobody with half a brain is taking Klatt, Mac et. al. seriously at this point.
 
Maybe you are right, but I just think of the Friday show and Mac getting on again and stirring the pot....

At this point, Mac is just like everybody's Krazy Uncle AL at Thanksgiving Dinner: You have to put up with his s*** because he bought the turkey, but everybody pretty much ignores what he says because they all know he's nutso!
 
Mac was on my Rushmore of Colorado sports, but at this point, he needs to shut the **** up. Tough to take seriously the guy who wants to talk about the integrity involved in honoring a contract, when that guy bailed on his contract 2 years early.
 
Mac is out of touch w/ football and has lost it. I recall a few weeks ago him making one of his barely intelligible comments saying he thought marvin lewis was one of the up and coming young coaches......Apparently not understanding that Marv lewis has been with cinci for like.....13 years? At least Theirry knew what he was talking about. Miss that guy.
 
I'm glad I'm not listening to any of this. Ill Cherish the memory I have of Mac on the sideline of the last home game after Saalam passed 2000 yards.
 
My point was Mac did great things. We shouldn't forget that. I'm not sure Salaam would hit 2000 yards anywhere else. It's possible. But Mac ran him like a horse that year.

Yep. I remember sitting with my dad that night at our house after attending the game, and just cherishing Buff Talk on the radio when it was announced. We went from enjoying one of the sweetest days ever in Colorado Football history to just shock.

It was totally selfish of him, maybe even racist? Stealing the spotlight from his you African American Heisman?
 
So tired of this race card/angle...Victor Rogers last night was making me sick with his rant...I didn't get to hear Kordell the other day but seems as though all the ex Buffs are on "his" side...Sonny was very neutral, but man that dude can barely speak? He is almost as bad as Holtz

There was never any racism involved. We know it, and they know it. The local radio stations know it, but they are loving the bump in ratings due to the "controversy". The Embree camp loves the angle because it lets them play the victim and soothes their egos. They don't care about the damage they are doing to themselves or future African American coaching prospects.
