Lombardi: "CU very interested in Bobby Petrino"

I understand the dude has some personal baggage, but he has no NCAA issues and he is a winner. I think he has learned his lesson too. Would be huge for us.

Sad as it sounds, I would do cartwheels if we got Petrino. He may be a slime, but he can coach, and has won big at multiple schools.

Holla dolla! I'm perfectly fine with my coach being a scumbag if he can recruit the south and give the buffs and sec mentality

To toxic BUT it may be the case CU is desperate for a great coach to turn around the program. Major scumbag but no one can deny he can build a program and win.

Things sure are changing fast. Wasn't it just yesterday or the day before that Bohn said his main targets are guys who are currently coaching? Is this a trial balloon to see what the reaction would be?

If so, this fan's reaction is: HELL YES. Hire him. Hire him yesterday. Get him his own personal volleyball assistant and a private "office" in the Dal Ward.

CU needs some sort of edge to get back in the game quickly. This might be just the ticket we need. Everyone has personal issues, let those rest and look at the resume.

Difference is Captain Motorcycle is available and Sweater Vest is basically off-limits for another three years by the NCAA.

This is surprising to me.

This guy is as dishonest as they come. He left Atlanta high and dry. He lied about interviewing for the Auburn job. He lied to his athletic director about hiring his gf.

Can he coach football? Absolutely. Would I trust him with anything dear to me? Absolutely not.

Petrino may have his fair share of personal problems, but he got destroyed for it. I doubt he makes that same mistake ever again. Give him a shot, the guy can absolutely coach.

Vic is well connected, but this doesn't pass the smell test to me.

Mods, I need Petrino's Coaching bio in the NCAA and Colorado Football Coach Profiles. Snap, snap! I know he is a great coach but I need to dissect the minutiae.

Edit: Phooey, never mind.
