Colroado Basketball - Wyo Road trip

My road trip is up the mountains to stay in the Silverthorne/Dillon area. Anyone know of bars/restaurants that feature the Pac12 network in that area or Frisco/Breck?

Hope we can get a decent crowd up there. Not sure many Buffs realize this, but we REALLY owe these guys. The Pokes have won 5 straight against us (our last win was 1996), 13 of the last 17, and lead the overall series against us 41-35. In short, we're due to ****ing beat these guys.

Planned to go, but can't do it.

Can't leave town, huh?
New twist in the football coaching search?
SpacemanSpiff ‏@Spiffy We've learned that members of the coaching search committee have been recalled to Boulder for high level meetings this weekend.

That, or he's afraid that Klatt is stalking him...

In on wyo... Also planning on Kansas... R u guys driving, is there a fan bus or cheap enough plane tix?
Well I'm not 25 so I can't rent a car thus flying is out and I'd rather kill myself then ride on a bus for 10 hours again this year after riding from Luxor to Cairo in a night so driving it is.

Not to be a downer, but forewarning: I went to a CU game in Laramie years ago...Laramie is the ugliest dump you'll find, and that game may have been the most un-enjoyable sports experience I've ever had. CU lost, the town sucked, it was cold with no snow, the arena sucked, it was practically empty, fans weren't nice (weren't dicks, but weren't nice), their band sucked, their cheers are pathetic, CU lost, the drive home sucked, the food sucked, the girls weren't hot, the game atmosphere sucked, CU lost...

CU hopefully won't lose, but don't expect anything cool from your Laramie experience.

So you're saying its a good thing the game is at night, we can arrive after dark, won't be able to see the un-hot girls, won't be able to hear the sucky band (due to our CU fight song dominating), can eat before we get there, can celebrate a Buff win on their court, then drive home in the dark.... cmon, join us.

Wyoming's arena is huge, it seats 15,000, so you can imagine that it's basically never filled to capacity. However, with it being a Saturday game with Wyoming 7-0 (Larry Shyatt is doing a solid job up there and won 21 games last year) facing a Front Range Pac-12 opponent that's ranked in the top 20....It's a fair assumption that it's going to be the biggest crowd they've had up there in quite some time.

For some comparison:

On Saturday home games last season against New Mexico, Colorado State, and UNLV they had crowds of 7,000 7,900, and 7,200 respectively. I chose those games because they were on Saturdays against regional/appealing opponents.

With that in mind, I think they draw over 8,000 on Saturday. Should be a lively, tough environment.

Last year, we drove to the Utah football game (wow that was only last year? Feels like ages ago). Drove through Laramie, and I can attest to everything above. Keeping in mind we were about to drive through nothing, Wyoming, we chose to not even stop in Laramie for food or gas. It's so much smaller than I thought, and I thought it would be small. It was windy as hell, and just a dreary, sad town. There are broken down cars everywhere. Good news, gas is cheap in Wyoming.....

So, you're saying you wouldn't do it again?

FYI - if you are going, wear black. Apparently Wyoming is planning a "gold out" for the game.

Was it the same game Nick Mohr tore his ACL?

Laramie is the most boring town in existence. Why anybody chooses to go to college there I can not comprehend.
