I don't know much about them personality wise...who is a good fit for CU? Like either one with Stitt....

DeRuyter w/ Stitt. I'd be happy. But like someone else said yesterday, "I'll give you my opinion halftime of the CSU game next year", no matter who CU hires.

Who is this Stitt character that everyone seems so high on?

I'd bet the majority of CU fans didn't know who he was a month ago. He made a clever innovation to the fly sweep. Dana Holgerson gave him props after WVU's beatdown of Clemson last January & now Buff fans attach him to every DC/defensive minded head coach mentioned.

He's done some nice things at Colorado School of Mines & I think many of us are hoping he's our Chip Kelly.

Mines head coach, but apparently major college OCs come to learn from him as far as offensive scenes and concepts. Has apparently been offered high profile schools OC positions, but wants to stay in Colorado. Has made a school of engineers competitive in football. That can't be easy to do.

FIB, your presence is requested in the Coaching Candidate Threads.

Given the choice between those two, I think I'd go with McIntyre just because he has a track record of reviving a program that was "literally" circling the drain.

But I'm also interested in making another call to Anderson at Utah State to see if he'd be interested in reconsidering. I'm also wondering if there is another name out there that we haven't heard about yet.

I like DeRuyter more than MacIntyre

I can't get behind DeRuyter. Two years at A&M before Sherman was fired & one year of HC experience at Fresno St. His Fresno St team had a very good RB & QB too. Why?

MacIntyre all day long. He has San Jose State playing to the wire with Stanford.

Yes please.

Slight edge to MacIntyre based on HC experience, but I would not be upset with D-Root either.

I love the idea of a defensive coach (either of these guys) with an innovative mind like Stitt as OC (double bonus that Stitt would immediately improve our in-state recruiting relationships).

I mentioned it in another thread, but between DeRuyter and MacIntyre, I like MacIntyre more. The job he did at SJSU is truly impressive. That was a school that nearly dropped football, was a total mess, was losing scholarships due to APR, and within 3 years he had them winning 10 games and fixed the APR issues.

Agreed on MacIntyre. Duke was ranked in the 60s in total defense when he was DC there. Ever since he left, Duke has been in the 100s in total defense.

Upon further review I'm flip-flopping and going MacIntyre w/ Stitt. That is my FINAL answer. ;)

Mike Mac.

Plus, Bohn is on his way to being the SJSU new AD at this rate, lets keep the lines of communication open.

Who is the better recruiter? I've heard people knock DeRuyter for his recruiting. What about MacIntyre?

He is my pick, but sounds like DeRuyter keeps getting mentioned first.

Justin Wilcox.
You have been consistent through this whole thing

I do wonder if Bohn is going to backtrack that the only candidates would be current HCs and when/if this gets opened up to big boy level coordinators. I'm still betting the order is Bohn goes after a few lower level HCs and if they all reject, then it gets opened up to coordinators.
