Tim DeRuyter here we come!

Well boys and girls it looks like we are onto plan B. Word is that is Fresno State head coach Tim DeRuyter.

Works for me. I'm not even bummed about missing on Jones (so far as we know). I'm just bummed that we had to go through that whole ordeal for absolutely nothing.

add another coach and school I will be rooting against to my list....starting with the Belk Bowl - Go Duke

I have no ill will against Cincy. He is stringing them along too. I hope he fails miserably at his next gig.

I wanted DeRuyter as my first choice anyway.

The longer the entire Jones fiasco played out the worse it got. When he flew to the bowl presser yesterday I had a bad feeling that CU was getting played for more $.

Bohn and the CU AD office screwed this up from the beginning. We cleaned house with the coaches, I wish we would clean house with the AD.

I was underwhelmed by Butch. Prepare to be underwhelmed folks.

I think Deruyter + Stitt would be a very effective combo.

no... dont want deruyter.... I thought people wanted an experience HC... Embree has more experience then deruyter hahahahaha. deruyter and macintyre are just throw in the towel hires i feel like... but we dont have a lot of options

Pretty much everyone was going to be underwhelmed unless the hire was Petrino or Tressel and neither were going to happen and Diaco probably isn't ready to be a HC. Overall it was a pretty weak coaching class IMO.

Exactly. Was anyone expecting to excited about BJ? I think most of us just wanted to him to decide and get done with it.

2nd year HC + Division 2 head coach = fail.

not on the deruyter train, and never will be on the stitt train

Problem is, who out there that is realistic is a option that isn't the two names mentioned today?
It's hard to say how realistic they would be since some of the names below have baggage, but if you want a HC with BCS experience why not:

1. Jim Leavitt
2. Tommy Bowden
3. Butch Davis
4. Jim Tressel
5. Bobby Petrino
6. Derek Dooley
7. Jeff Jagodzinski
8. Phil Fulmer

Granted, 4 and 5 are non-starters because their baggage is just too much for CU. Maybe the same for number 3 given the way he left UNC. Leavitt has the slapping incident, which seems pretty BS to me. If WSU can hire Pirate Mikey, there is no real reason Leavitt can't get a look. Tommy Bowden had some decent years at Clemson. All these guys are sitting at home right now with nothing to do....retreads, I know.

I have a hard time getting on DeRuyter's case much, considering he could have beaten CU 130-7 had he not shown class, called off the dogs 15 minutes into the game, and merely won 69-7.

I do agree with you on Stitt. That situation has become entirely overblown, IMO.

Leavitt is bat-**** crazy. And not in a good way. We do not want him. I was saying that long before the slapping (and then lying about it) incident.

It's hard for me to complain about Bowden. He had exciting offenses every year, and never had a losing season at Clemson (or Tulane) went .500 his first year at Clemson cleaning up the mess
