McIntyre seems to be the board consensus.

So what happens around here if we end up with DeRuyter or some other random we haven't even discussed yet?

I go back to when we hired Boyle. Boyle was a distant third among the three finalists for the job. I recall a poll where I believe McLane was the favorite, followed by Dunlap, then Boyle. McLane and Dunlap combined had something like 95% of the votes. Boyle was considered to be too small time. Hiring Boyle was met with a collective "meh" around here.

Well, we all know how that turned out. But football is a very different animal. If we get another "meh" hire, what would your reaction be?

His results are impressive. I like the idea assuming he is a decent guy. Which appears to be the case. If he checks out would be my current favorite. Although I am nervous Deruyter might then put a hundo on us next season ;-)

Just kiddin. We are going to turn this ship around with solid leadership!

I would prefer Wilcox, if they are actually talk BCS coordinators now. But...MacIntyre and DeRuyter are not really seperated by much. At least DeRuyter really really wants the job.

I can guarantee we aren't going to hire MacIntyre. Because that would be a smart move. And if there's one thing we can count on, it's for our AD to never make smart moves. We are going to hire Shawn Watson as our head coach or something

I would not be surprised if someone we never thought of is named.

Sacky - I would pick MacIntyre over D-Root, but wouldn't be upset with either. To the gist of your question, I will support whomever is chosen, so long as they demonstrate that they are deserving of that support. I supported Embree until it was abundantly clear that he was not head coaching material. As long as we can see improvement, discipline, effort - from both the players and coaches - I'll be good. Oh, and a few wins would be appreciated!!

Might be McIntyre, might be someone else. I think he'd do fine, although I worry about all WAC coaches, because the simple fact is they can recruit and get kids into the program that Pac-12 coaches just can't. Think Bill Snyder at KjSU after CU got uppity about who could get in.

I like the fact that we're not hearing anything. **** anyone who thinks Bohn should be sending up-to-the-minute updates just to satisfy panicky message board posters.

agree!.. i was watching sam houston st and montana st last nite and i swear i was thinking that cu could have used about 10 guys each off of those teams including BOTH QB's ...but could they get into the school?

Not my choice either - I would put him pretty far down my list

MacIntyre is not my first choice.

Think he is definitely worth a look though. Would be curious to find out why the interviews do not seem to be going well for him.

What makes me nervous is who he'd bring with him to coach. He might be up to AQ conference status but are his assistants?

I think one of his defensive coaches was an NFL coach, or maybe played in the NFL. Either way, he has some connections somewhere
