I'm gonna guess 5 years at $1.75mil. So that means more $$ for the staff. He makes 450k at SJSU

A little high IMTUO (in my totally uninformed opinion), but at least it's nowhere near the BJ/any BCS coach level. ~$1M/year more that can go toward assistants - good deal.

I am happy that it is under 2 million. I figured about 1.5 but in our situation I feel we would need to overpay.

Either way he is getting a substantial raise. My guess is our assistant pool will be less, just because we don't have to

$2MM/yr is a bit on the high side, IMO. On the other hand, we are in a bit of a pickle. We had to show that we are serious about turning this thing around.

Probably overpaid a bit, but I guess that's what happens when it's made public that you offered the same job to someone else for 2.6+

I'd love to see Stitt brought on as OC, but I think it's more likely he'll bring his current OC from SJSU. I wonder how long until we know?

7 coaches in the PAC making at least $2 mill a year plus bonus.

Whatever we are paying, I'm just happy that we are paying something close to a competitive salary. Granted Embree's total lack of experience required CU to pay him way less, but it bothered me when you looked at what everyone was getting paid and they you saw CU at the bottom of the list making half as much as the next lowest paid coach.

A salary around $2mil is the first step for CU showing the football world that the university does take it serious. Now if they would make the damned facilities upgrade announcement I could almost begin to believe things are improving.

The Fan just announced that the salary is 5 years at $2 million a year. That's a nice raise.
