Womens game on Root Sports

37-27 Buffs at the half.

Took them a while to get going tonight. Lappe turned up the pressure and the offense also adjusted to DU throwing so many different defenses at it. If CU avoids turnovers and DU doesn't shoot out of its mind, this should be a comfortable win.

83-63 final.

Undefeated heading into Friday against #8 Louisville.

We need to try to get a decent home crowd behind our gals for that one.

8-0 for first time in school history. Please support this team on Friday. Be loud. A good crowd can help them beat #8 ranked Louisville.

B-Wil and Jeffrey both looked great tonight. Listening to Coach now. She wasn't happy with the defense tonight, but was happy with the rebounding.

Was glad to see Kyleesha get to play the point in this one.

Wait, didn't they go like 12 or 13-0 to start last season?

Either way, I think this team is better than last seasons team. Looking forward to seeing how they match up to a top 10 team!

Go Buffs!

CU pulled away from DU late in the first half and never looked back winning 83-63. The Buffs didn't play their best defense, especially in attempting to guard DU's leading scorer Morgan Van Riper-Rose who lit the Buffs up from the perimeter. At the same time CU was able to create a lot of turnovers and pummeled DU on the boards.

CU's biggest non-conference game in a while takes place Friday night in Boulder vs. Louisville.

BTW, last season they went 12-0 in the non-conference. And they are better this season.

Don't forget the 12 for $12 deal beginning tomorrow (Wednesday) @ noon.

Nice win, Buffs!

8-0 with top 10 Louisville visiting the Keg, how sweet is that? Golden opportunity to announce to the women's college basketball world that the Buffs have arrived in a big way. Louisville is 9-1, their one loss coming 48-47 to #7 Kentucky. Louisville has already faced one Pac-12 opponent this year, defeating Oregon State 61-43 (they also face Washington State right after they play CU). Of the 10 games they've played so far, they've only had 2 true road games, but those were cupcakes in relative close proximity (Austin Peay and UT-Martin). Hopefully the long journey west + altitude works to the Buffs' advantage.
