Bob Stitt - run game coordinator?

Bob needs his own thread. Haven't seen an out pouring of recos for a coach like Bob has received. Doubt anyone has actually seen a Colorado Mines game, but that's besides the point. He's everyone's favorite.

Would Bobby Ballgame come to CU as a running backs coach/run game coordinator? Lindgren is the OC and I'd imagine passing game coordinator. For Bobby Football to take a CU position, run game coordinator looks like the best option. Would he take it?

no... just no... as has been stated on the board numerous... he will only come if he has control of the ENTIRE offense...not just the run game

My thing with Stitt is, it will either end up really really good, or really really bad

Who is the Bob you speak of, why has there not been 9,593 threads to discuss his qualifications?

The guy has an article written about him and we think we suddenly have a diamond in the rough right under our noses.

If the guy is so great and has all these connections, then why is he is a coach at a fringe DII program? Let it go people.

The Stitt love baffles me. "OMG, there is a guy who is a decent offensive coach and he lives here!!! Lets hire him before all of the million other coaches who are totally lined up at his door get him first, because he lives here!!! It's totally like I know him and stuff becaue his physical location is close to me!!! <3 Stitt"

And why haven't other schools come after his services?

Agree. The investigative journalist internet stalker in me wants to know who tipped the USA Today guy about Stitt? Was it his agent by any chance? How come all these big programs are coming to him to consult on how to run their offenses, but none of them found room for him on their staff?

If he is as buff, then great, but until then call me a sceptic.

Lots of people on this board don't take their football seriously enough. Lots of them think the Stitt hype started all at once with a single article back in October. He's been building it a long time folks - it's probably just now getting to the critical point where he's going to get a shot at the big time (especially with people noticing that Leach (originated at Valdosta State), Kelly - hell, even Belichick, all got started at the lower collegiate levels). There's more than one path to the big time, and you don't have to start as a grad assistant at a Div I school in order to be a good coach...

Because people are stupid. If Mac doesn't want Stitt, I don't want Stitt. If he thinks Lindgren would be a better fit, well lets get Lindgren in here. Red flag... what a stupid comment/tweet.

Agree. The red flag is probably the dumbest tweet I have seen today and that is saying something.

USA today writes one article on Stitt and all the sudden CU and Mac don't know what they are doing because they are not hiring him. Well no one else has hired him either.
