The Denver Post released its All-Colorado team today. Some juniors made the team:

Christian McCaffrey (Off. POY)
Ethan Marks-RB (Monarch)
Bernard McDondle-RB (Columbine)
Ethan Brunhofer-H Back (Arapahoe)
Sam Jones-OL (Thunder Ridge)
Justin Barron-P (Falcon)
Kalen Ballage-ATH (Falcon)
Cameron French-DB (Denver South)
Evan White-DB (Cherokee Trail)

Additionally, a couple juniors made all-state teams for their classifications:
Sam Martin-ATH (Fairview)
Trenton Noller-OL (Windsor)

We have heard several of these names, but also several new ones. Hearing some buzz on Jones out of Thunder Ridge and it looks like a deep year overall.

French looks like a D1 player at S/CB to me.

My comments are only for the kids have seen play personally.

Christian McCaffrey (Off. POY) - I would prefer as a receiver. Very fast with good open field vision.
Ethan Marks-RB (Monarch) - Great vision and heart. Not DI speed.
Bernard McDondle-RB (Columbine) - Good prospect. Nice speed and vision.
Ethan Brunhofer-H Back (Arapahoe)
Sam Jones-OL (Thunder Ridge)
Justin Barron-P (Falcon) - Don't recall much.
Kalen Ballage-ATH (Falcon) - Best prospect on this list.
Cameron French-DB (Denver South) - Very good coverage. Fast and good tackler.
Evan White-DB (Cherokee Trail)

My comments are in your quote.

Kalen Ballage is a beast. I don't personally think he will be a running back at the next level, but he is a ridiculous athlete.

Trenton Noller is NASTY. He is pretty athletic, very strong, and just flat mean. I think it would be a good idea to at least try to get him to the big man camp and see how he looks against top flight competition. He was a man amongst boys during the games I saw this year.

Sam Martin is a much better prospect than I think he is getting credit for. He was by far the best receiver I saw this year. Straight line speed, good route runner, competes for the ball. Doesn't really pass the eyeball test, but he is a baller.

Noller went to Oregon's and CU's camp last year. Apparently our coaches didn't like him but who gives a **** what they think.

Thanks for the insights guys!

Superior, I know you were gushing about Ballage after you saw him in person. Would love to land him. I think Martin will get an early offer as well.

Noller is a bit more tricky. I wonder if MacIntyre might wait until the evaluation period to decide on an offer.

If we could get

McCaffrey or McDondle
Ballage
Martin
Jones
Noller
White

It would be a very successful year in state for CU. Saying that I think we are gonna have a hard time getting anyone other than Martin.
