Football: Pac-12 TV money can not go to CU Buffs' facilities upgrades

Nice click baiting Kyle, way to tell us we still have to pay off leaving the big12, some coaches buyouts and a bond funded expansion to the stadium. If you read Allbuffs we told you exactly that on June of 2010.

nothing like trying to sneak this past the fan base on a day when people probably aren't paying attention-

**** ... nothing ever changes does it ?

ITB calm down - Ringos whole premise is that the PAC12 money isn't all new revenue because we used to get money from the Big12 too, and that the move + buyouts left us with a 22 million dollar hole. Which by his own numbers would take about 2.5 years to fill. It also assumes ZERO revenue from the digital, second and third tier rights which have been estimated at 4 - 10 million per year.

He's basically turning the fact we have some legacey debt, bad math, and a women's lax program into - we have no money. We have no money this year but our distribution grows every year an digital will pay more than zero so ultimately just like asu and wazzu who are bond funding we can do the same - just not for 18 - 24 months.

I see two things in this article. 1) CUAD using Ringo to try and build a "we need to donate NOW" sense in the potential doner population. 2) Ringo uses recruting servicesque methods to get people to read news we already know.

$22M needs to be paid off in 7 years, so that is $3.2M per year. Coaches pool increased by $2.5M per year. If LAX is costing us more than $.8M per year, we screwed up. So...

That's $6.5M/year, leaving $2.5M to finance bonds today, plus an extra 5% of 18M each subsequent year (starts with $.9M in 2013). In addition, we will have another $3.2M available starting in 2020 once that current debt is paid off.

That's not chump change. Yes, donations are needed, but this is a simplistic article written for the sole purpose of an unpaid advertisement for the AD for said donations.
