Which Assistant Coaches are NOT coming to CU?

Ambitious but rubbish.

I think Lubick would require a pretty big commitment in terms of money and titles.

Thank YOU!

Why does no one ****ing understand this, he's not leaving his current "Passing game coordinator/wr coach/recruiting" gig to coach WR's at CU that is a step backwards.

Seems like a bone of contention for you; consider me one of the folks who did not ****ing understand why he wouldn't at least consider coming back to Colorado if the price was right. The explanation you and Duff have provided makes some sense, but didn't mean to strike a nerve by asking.

LD - it wasn't directed particularly at me there have just been a lot of:

GET!!!!!!!!LUBBICK MUST HAVE RAWRRRRRR!!!!!!

GET!!!!!!!!Sitt MUST HAVE RAWRRRRRR!!!!!!

With very little consideration for the actual reality of the situation or actually fit. Given his track record at Duke, Lubbick is going to want to take a step up in his career not backwards. With Lindgren reportedly coming here there isnt much room for him to move up on this staff.

Stitt has already been hired by Alabama. Or Oklahoma. Or Texas. Or Texas A&M. Or Texas Tech. Or USC. Or by the Denver Broncos. Or the Dallas Cowboys. Or some such team that has been beating down the door to hire him. Supposedly.

Stitt will get a shot at a major school this year if he wants it

First, I know nothing about Lubick. He sounds like he is on the rise. The one thing I would interject is that there may be some draw of being near his parents at this stage in their lives. Probably similar to Brown. But that would seem to be the only draw I can come up with other than Mac giving him some sort of upgrade.

This.

He isn't coming to CU if it isn't for something close to OC.

I'm going to laugh when Stitt doesn't land a DI OC job this offseason

I won't laugh. I harbor no ill will toward the man.

But the love fest some people on the message boards have for the man is amazing. It almost boggles my mind. But then I remember the love fest people had for Jon Embree and it all makes sense.

Is there a reason he can't be Passing game coordinator/WR coach/recruiting coordinator at CU too? We need a WR coach and a recruiting coordinator, adding an additional title of passing game coordinator doesn't sound too much a reach. In addition, with the assistant salary pool, betting we could offer him more money.

That would set him back a couple years where he is bound to get an bcs coordinator gig, and very soon.

Not arguing and not saying he would come, but why would it set him back?

Imo... it's a lateral move and we're down in the dumps right now so it will take a couple years for Colorado to look good on a resume.

Pretty sure a move from Duke to Colorado is an upgrade. Their best season ever seemingly was a 6 win losing effort this year. If he wants the big time, getting away from there would be smart.

Best since the 40's, so up best ever. Coming to Colorado is absolutely a upgrade over Duke. More money and more upside.

I have no idea if Lubick has any desire to come back to Colorado but there appears to be no compelling reason for him to do so. Right now he is in a critical point in his career. His next step has to be to an OC position. He took the Duke job because of the draw of a multi-year contract and moving to the offensive side again - Duke football is seeing an uptick and Lubick is seen as an important part of that. He has always been known for his recruiting but this year he has received accolades for his coaching. He knows there will be jobs opening up if he bides his time.
