Many of these young athletes stuck with us when the circumstances changed dramatically! Coach Mike Mac made the decision to honor existing obligations which is a huge step in building integrity with this program and the reputation of the University of Colorado. This class has substantially bonded already. Although I have read many comments per the "star rankings", there is real talent among this group. I especially like their overall attitude and speed. Considering where this conversation was in November I am damn excited about where we stand headed into the finish line.

Looking forward to hearing the coaches take on Thursday but give me the kid who wants to be in Boulder! May they all sign and get this bus rolling!

I say our 2013 recruiting glass is half full!

Many of the athletes didn't have any other options

Agreed, unfortunately the glass looks to be a shot glass

As I'm going through the database, the thing that is standing out to me is how much time and energy the previous staff wasted on scouting Louisiana. We've got a bunch of offers out to kids down there and a lot of them were reaches either because of talent or academics. Worse, we couldn't even get those kids to leave home so a lot ended up signing at places like LA-Monroe, LA-Lafayette and Tulane. Huge mistake made there while we were barely present in Arizona, Nevada and Utah.

I'd go with half full though it is tough to once again see the pins falling in every direction but ours here at the end

Let's be honest. This class is not blowing away any BCS school and even some lower tier schools are probably competitive with this class. We will have some surprising stars emerge from this class for sure but it is not going down as a top 10 class in CU history. They filled a class with mostly 2 and 3 star players. Whether stars matter or not-the data suggest that we are not where we need to be to be regularly competitive in the Pac 12.

But it is just a start for the HCMM era with little time. HCMM's SJSU classes were not ranked above 99 and he turned that into a top 25 finish this year. I know they played worse competition overall but it says to me that he and his staff are good at getting the best out of his kids and coaching them up. That bodes well for the Buffs during this transition.

Imagine what HCMM & Co. can do if they start pulling in top 25 classes!

Boyd - I'm with you. This class looks a lot better when thought of as HCMM's transition class instead of looking at it as HCJE's 3rd class.

If the glass is empty or half full/empty but no one is there to see it, does the glass really exist? Ok that was bad

Based on Nik's posts in recruit profiles, our recruits seem to getting the usual CU star bump. We're kickin' ##s.

Making a funny, or is there an underlying story????

There's one particular football factory in Las Vegas (easy to figure out, but I can't remember the name of the school) and Cabral pulled a LB out of there a few years ago. Big Jon ran him off. Not sure what happened, but heard CU was not welcomed back.

Flacco was a 3 star and Colin K was a 2 star.

It does seem like the stars mean more when it comes to OL and DL.

Nobriga?

Probably. Palo Verde's not exactly a football factory, but still. They usually have a few guys earn scholarships every year. Good program that probably has 1 or 2 guys CU would want to look at most years.
