Anyone still thinking he made the wrong choice in declaring for the draft may want to reconsider. Measured in at 6'4"/299 and 34' arms today. Being picked on the second day seems pretty realistic at this point.
 
Good for him.

I still think he should have completed his college tenure. For one, that college education is the best thing you can do for yourself. Second, when you accept that scholarship, you are making that 4 / 5 year commitment, follow through. What is fair to one should be fair to the other. Third, I am a believer in if you are not going to be one of the top five picks, then you should stay in college.

Yep looks like a good choice now and hopefully he goes higher now that he is already gone. Still a pretty big loss to our OL

The guys with measuring tape at the combine confirmed what anybody watching him suspected. He isn't that physically imposing of a guard. I suspected he'd show up around that size. Are 34" arms short for a 6'4" frame?

His arm length seems to be about average and certainly will not hurt him.

If he gets drafted, it will be the third straight year we have had an OL drafted. WTF?

Wow, 34 foot arms is amazing. He must spend a fortune on custom shirts and coats. They should move him to TE. How could you cover a guy with 34 foot arms. :wow:
 
Ran a 5.01 40yd dash this morning.

Looks alright in the agility drills.

Another year under his belt would have helped him.

May have helped his technique or given him a chance to put more solid performances on tape, but it wasn't necessarily going to make him run the 40 any faster or make him any more agile. For the time being, it sounds like the advice he received that he could be a second day draftee was daily accurate.

Looking back, Nate Solder had the fastest 40 time in '11 for tackles at 5.05.

So looks good for Bakhtiari
 
Bakhtiari's draft status will also be helped by his older brother being a successful DL in the NFL. GMs in the League love pedigree.
