Will be playing his last home game v Oregon State on Saturday.

Per Mark Johnson on KOA

Thanks, SHT. Dude has given us some quality minutes when we need them.

After the cheap shot he took tonight, save your nads, Shane.

He will be missed - for as much crap as he gets, been a great Buff and has no issues mixing it up and getting under the skin of other teams' big guys.

SHT battled hard tonight and took the brunt of Oregon's lack of class. Take a minute and read Shane's bio on CUBuffs, it's impressive.

Shane, thanks for being a part of back to back tournament teams and best of luck to you in your future endeavors!

Shane will probably get a job with a pro team in Australia.

Kind of amazing that we're getting to the point where even the players who don't start and frustrate the fans are good enough to play professionally.

Congrats Shane!

Will always wonder what might have been if he hadn't torn his ACL.

This. He showed flashes his first year, but all the knee injuries just killed his athleticism. I'll happily cheer him on Saturday afternoon.

Shane, what can I say? Went out strong vs. Oregon! Even took one for the team. Will need him vs OSU and in the tourneys till Dre returns. Good luck to him, he always played hard.

That is a truly crappy sentiment. How about a simple "good luck"?

:yeahthat:

Maybe not the greatest player in CU history, but a true Buff who was part of some of the best teams in school history. He has provided solid (and very important) minutes to this team. Important minutes still left in his career as well, good luck finishing the season and good luck in life.

I had higher hopes for Shane, but he provided some good minutes over the years. I appreciate his contributions. Good luck to you Shane!

+1
Guy will hopefully go down as one of the few Buffs that were a part of the transition from hoping to make the tourney mentality to expecting to contend for conference championships every year and playing for seeding in the NCAAs. I hope he finds success in whatever he takes on next, and appreciate his efforts on the court.

Just saying how I feel, I wish him well, just thought he was a liability when he was on the court at times.
I think we all know that but the thread is to celebrate Shane, not point out stuff like that. Good luck Shane, the knee surgery I still think hurt his development, but he played well yesterday and will receive a good hand Saturday.

G'Day you bloke! Finish the season strong!

Makes sense from a logical standpoint. He's a smart kid who is going to leave CU with a degree in hand. I don't know if graduate credits he would earn from another year would help him much, wonder about the transferability to a school down under. Also doesn't make sense for him to stick around and try to finish a graduate program on his own dime.

From a basketball sense if he did have the choice of staying another year (don't know if Tad even gave him that offer) he would likely be looking at reduced time and roll as Scott matures and Gordon takes floor time.

SHT has certain limitations to his game that he could never overcome but you could never question his effort or willingness to be a solid member of the team.
