I am a grateful Buff for you inviting us into this conference. I appreciate it, I really do.

But it is time for you to address two things hampering our conference:

1. Officiating: This may or may not be a mostly emotional argument, given what I just watched in Vegas this afternoon. But honestly, your officials are really bad. In several sports. Time to take the kid gloves off, Larry.

2. You need to swallow some pride and work out a deal with DirecTV before the 2013 football season starts. Everyone knows it, so get it done.

That's all for now. Hope this helps.

:yeahthat: and :yeahthat:

Also, apparently there are some behind the scenes problems with tournament organization. Or so Mark Johnson was saying when I heard him on the radio this morning. Said pretty much all the coaches have talked about problems with the behind the scenes stuff, although it seems to be pretty much unanimous that everybody loves Vegas as a site for the tourney...

Amen on officiating and the Directv bs. I can't say I saw how bad it was today, I've seen plenty of examples tho.

Get the assistant director of officials from the B1G. Their officials seem to be very decent and at least consistent.

Pac 12 clowns need to take 3 steps up just to be considered "bad"!

i called and emailed directv again today to bitch, right before tipoff. a-holes...

i'm totally going to switch to comcast before the first effin' kickoff if they don't get a deal done with directv. comcast cut a deal. dish cut a deal. effin' directv can too. this isn't all on scott. and, frankly, i will effin' pay extra for the effin' programming i want. ****ing charge a premium you greedy ****ing **** fucs. i don't care. give me my ****ing game before i ****ing go ****ing NUK-U-LARRRRRRRRRR!

100% agree with Duff and Liver.

I'm on DTV currently, but I won't put up another year of no football & basketball. If DTV & P12 don't come together, I'm switching to comcast or dish. Enough of this bull****. I can watch any other conference play their tourney games, but I can't watch the P12.. Just a total failure on the part of the P12 (and DTV) to not get a deal done.

I'm worried that Larry honestly believes that officiating isn't a problem.

Speaking of the Pac 12 network - has there been a tally of just how much the network is going to pay the individual schools this year?

Wait, I thought it was all Bohn's doing that got us into the Pac-12???

I hope Larry works out a deal with DirecTV too because I am 100% sick of seeing all the DirecTV customers bitching about not having the Pac-12 Network. If it is an issue for you, why don't you solve the problem yourself by switching to a provider that has the network?

For one, it costs DTV customers money to switch. Also, DTV has a pivotal role with sports bars because DTV has Sunday Ticket. That's not something bars are willing to give up given the NFL's popularity. If you want to make to make the PAC-12 a powerful, visible conference (and Scott does), then DTV needs to be in the equation.

Why can't we get somebody with some clout to contact the powers that be directly? I hear some of you saying you know big boosters, might be a good idea when they run ****. Emailing and calling isn't gonna help.

It's DTV's fault, not Larry's. In my conversations with DTV, their stance is because there is not nationwide demand for the P12 network, they won't offer us the same deal as the B10. Or probably the new SEC network. It's a bias against west coast sports.

They mentioned if it was offered as a PPV product, would that suffice, and I said that's absurd. I pay for about 400 channels I could care less for. Why single out one carrier for PPV when there are hundreds of channels with far less demand that are arbitrarily included in my monthly package with no PPV option available. It's not a fair system DTV is running.

I've been getting "we want you back" stuff from DTV - if there's a way to send them feedback in the mailing or email, I actually do give them pretty simple feedback: get the P12 Network, and then I'll talk. Last month I got a "survey" from them as to why I left and what it would take to get me back - well, let's just say my response was pretty clear.

The B10 Network was actually treated the same by DTV for their first year plus of broadcasting, eventually they came around.

I did. Comcast was so incredibly awful in comparison to DTV that I switched back less than five months later. A word of advice to those who are threatening to switch - the difference between Comcast and DTV is incredible. Comcast is by far the most incompetent company I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. Total morons.

Word. Comcast is the Assclown.

With the exception of no Sunday Ticket, I actually like Cox. Not an option for many of you, I know - and my comments were a bit rude because I was grumpy as hell after yesterday's loss - but it does seem like if you want the network badly enough, you can get it. If it is demanded by enough patrons, sports bars will find a way to get it as well.

If the Sunday package is opened up to other networks, I can see a lot of bars changing.

I'm going to counter and say that Comcast rocks, especially when they implemented the xfinity brand. I always have phenomenal service with them. There have been a few rare times where I called in with a complaint and they not only immediately fixed it, but usually put some substantial savings in my bill to atone for it. Everytime I call in looking for a discount, I not only get one, but usually something better than I was expecting.

You either must have the worst luck alive with them, or you are one of those high maintenance customers who bitch no matter what happens. I'm guessing it is the luck.

I'll second this. Pretty much an identical story.

I like Comcast cable internet so much more than Century Link, but I like Direct tv more than comcast.

Why the hell does Comcast still have SD and HD channels? Just send the HD ones down the cable and display it in whatever resolution the consumer sets as output.

I got cable last June. My only question for any of the providers was, "will you have the Pac 12 Network?" It's the only thing I cared about.

Only Direct TV told me confidently that they would have it, so I went with them.

**** Direct TV.

wow so West Virgina really is behind the rest of the US. Wait until you get cell phones, it will blow your mind.

Direct TV blows. I switched from Comcast last summer because the DTV-Century Link bundle was quite a bit cheaper than Comcast's TV/Internet package. I totally regret it.

Aside from no Pac12 channel, the DTV on demand search interface sucks balls-it's not easy to scan through new movies and they seem to have less new release options. And with Comcast I never had to drag my ass outside in the snow, in my underwear to brush snow off the god**m dish when the service cut out.

My wife nearly filed for divorce over the move to Comcast from DTV. Then there were the billing issues. In five months, I must have spoke to a dozen different people at Comcast. Every one of them told me the issue was resolved, only to have a F**king collections guy call me a week later asking me to pay my bill. I'll never do business with them again.
