Barkley couldn't stop talking about the quality of the Pac 12 and that he felt Oregon and Colorado were excellent teams that were poorly seeded in the tourney. Also watching the Arizona game one of the commentators spoke about how good Colorado is and named Roberson and Dinwiddie as studs and picked CU to win against Illinois.

Yeah, that was Gotlieb. It was good to hear, whether it really means anything or not.

I don't think Barkley even watches college basketball, but I guess it's cool to hear us on national TV.

Good to get national attention and respect. Boyle can definitely use this on the recruiting trail.

I hope both Dinwiddie and ROberson can back it up tomorrow!!

Barkley was saying something to the effect of " some of the best teams in the country are out West, but nobody sees them in the East."

The PAC is representing.

While he never said how much he watches, Barkley mentioned that he still lives in Arizona, and that he's very familiar with the conference teams.

He also referred to the Pac-12 as the "Pac-10" so I'd take any compliments he gives the conference with a grain of salt.

How the PAC12 represented in the tourney today really made me optimistic on CU's chances tomorrow. Maybe too optimistic... I have seen too many disappointments to get too excited.

I kinda went the other direction. I was optimistic about winning but now I'm worried about being the only Pac team to not advance from the round of 64!

The way I look at it is that illini are basically a whole team of ski's - they'll get hot and go on a tear, or they will just cause the whole team to fall on their own sword. Curious about boyle putting dre on paul, but I think that jelly could be big on the glass this game (last 5 gms avg 7.6 boards) since he's about as tall.

Barkley also said that the Big 10 was overrated(kinda agree), but he said the MWC was a better conference than the Big 10. I think he just makes inflammatory remarks because he realizes any publicity is good, even when negative.

Something that I've noticed so far (and the conference gets zero credit for) is that the Pac-12 plays great defense. Lots of speed, athleticism and length.

I am worried about this game, we love to play tight D and dare teams to beat us with the three ball.
