Scout speculates his offer to CU is to greyshirt, which makes sense since he will need to put on a lot of weight.
I hope he's willing to grayshirt. It makes sense for everyone involved. He needs to gain 30 or 40 lbs before he can even hold up on scout team (plus mature into his body after that growth spurt). And CU loses 8 o-linemen in 2011, so we need him then more than now. Finally, it's his best chance for success to get an extra year, an extra spring of practices, and an opportunity to get a bachelor's and master's degree paid for while on scholarship. If I were him, I'd jump all over this. Let's hope.
"I would not re-evaluate my situation at all," Lewis said of a potential coaching change at CU. "My junior year in high school we went 2-8 and had a coaching change and went 12-1 my senior year. So I really don't think a change is going to make the team worse. If anything, I think it is going to bring the team together."
umm. not the best news.Transferring to Nebraska

I'm bummed that he is leaving. Good luck Alex.
with you on this one - screw himSo let's hold hands and collectively wish him good luck? I said the same thing when Josh Smith and D-Scott left. This young man just failed a test of character. He's spent 2.5 years here and just when he's ready to deliver some goods for the school that invested in him, he leaves for NU, dumping his teammates. Good luck? How about **** YOU?
Hope we can find that the Nubs coaches were quietly recruiting him. Anything short of NCAA violations would be a disappointment.
