Apsay had a huge junior season with over 3,300 yards passing and 39 TDs against 14 INTs. He also rushed for over 300 yards rushing and 15 TDs. I think the competition is a little suspect, but he is on the radar of several schools, including CU:

“In addition to Arizona, I’m going to Colorado for their Junior Day, UCLA’s QB Camp and San Diego State’s camp,” Apsay said. “I’m also going to the Elite 11 regional camp and NIKE Camp in Oakland in May and I’m waiting to confirm visits with Washington, Oregon State, Fresno State, New Mexico, Minnesota and a few others.

Looks pretty good to me. Really quick release and pretty athletic too.

Is it just me or does his picture look like it was taken in the 70's?

He was here for the Spring Game. Should be back in Boulder for one our summer camps. Very intriguing prospect.

CU offer should be coming soon.

I'd be very happy if we landed Apsay.

depends how he throws in front of lindgren. Per Rivals, sounds like our QB scouting of currently known prospects should be finished this week.

Dilfer mentions Cade along with some of the headliner type guys that were there.

Rivals gave him a 5.5rr - 3* rating. Seems a little low to me but what do I know? (absolutely nothing)

Anyway, Adam Gorney did an update with him yesterday about his Arizona offer and talking about when he'll get an offer from us (if he's the one)...

Colorado has been reaching out a lot more to Apsay, who threw for 3,333 yards with 39 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in his junior campaign. He also rushed for 341 yards and 15 scores.

The Buffaloes have not come through with an offer yet but Apsay said he gets the feeling they could be close.

"They told me that they want to offer and they're going to make that decision soon," Apsay said. "They want to make sure the decision is right. I think they will soon. I think they're close on making that decision."

Rivals - Cade Apsay

Also it sounds like at this time he is not looking to commit early.

Despite those public statements, guessing Apsay commits this summer. The dominoes are starting to fall and I think we are in really good position here.

Need to get him in the fold ASAP. Exactly the type of kid who could blow up on the summer camp circuit.

Watched his vids and came away impressed. The only concern is his size (mostly weight). He is listed as 176lbs on scout and rivals, I'm also not convinced he is as tall as listed. FWIW 247s lists a UNC offer

I was thinking the same, but noticed on 247s that he's fairly young for his class (just turned 17 a couple months ago). He's not done growing his man frame.

Will be interesting to see if he ends up camping at UCLA this coming week.

Our #1 QB target.

Fingers crossed.

He is a good player, but I don't know about number 1 QB target. The coaches are still evaluating guys. They offered other QBs before him. There are a lot of good QBs that have not commited yet.

2 QBs who are as much athletes as quarterbacks were offered. If they committed, they'd get a shot at QB but would be moved to another position if they didn't work out. Apsay is the only pure QB with a CU offer.
