Allen did not remain a secret very long. He is approaching double digit offers.

Just watched the highlights for the first time. Very impressive. He lines up all over the place and really flows to the ball well.

Found some nice measurables from the recent Dallas Nike Camp: 6'1"/227 and a 4.79 40, 14th best SPARQ score overall. Very solid.

He sounds pretty open and will probably take several official visits in the fall. Nice gem from the Rivals update:

Also an accomplished wrestler, Allen garnered the highest finish ever for a Summer Creek athlete by placing second at heavyweight at the Class 4A state meet last season.

Sounds like we still have a chance. Gonna be hard to get him out of Texas methinks.

"They're definitely at the top. This decision is definitely going to be way harder after visiting Texas Tech. They surprised me a lot. In these next couple of weeks, I'm going to have a lot of thinking to do. I've got Oklahoma, Kansas State, Kansas, and Colorado left to go. At the end of the summer, I will be making the final decision."

If we can get him to Boulder, that is huge. Walters has clearly done some legwork here, up to on-campus personnel (notably HCMM) to make an impression.

Not to say we stop recruiting a particular position if the available recruit is better than what we currently have, but with 5 of our 8 commits projected to get a look at linebacker sometime in their career here, is this staff really going to make a serious offer for another one?

I'm okay with stacking up at LB. Granted, they run a 3-4 but the Patriots have been built around LB for years. If we take the bigger, taller guys and ask them to move to end... I don't see any downside to stacking up on pass rushers.

Projected by whom? Us Internet geeks? I'd say it says two things. First, Evans, Brown and Keeney are not being recruited to play LB. Two, see Barzil.

Suggests there is more thin-ness at LB than the depth chart suggests.

It's a member forum. For $15 a year you can become an Allbuffs member and get access - it's totally worth it.

Said another way, if you like these boards, pay $15 a year to support it, and you get access to the members-only portion. Part of the members only portion is Barzil, and that's where the straight scoop is..... It's behind the iron curtain, so the search-engines can't access it either.

Anyone who likes this board enough to be on here, should find $15 to keep the site going. And as Sinkratz states, it's totally worth it.

Great to know. I'm happy to pay $15 to support this board. Didn't know it was an option!

Looks like we need some better marketing on this site!

Yeah. I'm thinking that we'd have more people click the tab to become a Club Member if we changed it from "Support Allbuffs" to "Hookers & Blow".
