Tried to find the 1994 Texas game in Texas to watch. Ended up watching the Fiesta Bowl. Sucked having NU being so good in 1994, as CU could have had another title that year. For whatever reason, NU was just in Kordells head.

^^^This. That was the most talented Buff team ever.

Mixed feelings. This stuff depresses me...it's a reminder how far the mighty have fallen. But it's fun to watch guys in a CU uniform actually play and push guys around.

True! The '94 CU team was probably the best Buff team ever, however the '94 Husker team was arguably the best college football team ever. Sometimes it is tough to see two quality teams from the same conference being so good.. One of them has to be the best team. '94 was Nebraska's year.

Now THIS is classic college football. I'm sick of seeing "classic football" on TV and it turns out to be a game from 2011 or something.

I just don't see how a game from my freshman year of college could be considered classic. :sad1:

It's like saying Sweet Child of Mine is classic rock.

Not seeing it.

95 huskers were better than 94. big fan of the 90 game at UT, fwiw. in fact i enjoyed all the ut and atm games we played in the 90's when they wuz all SWC braggy and stuff.

CU 94 was CU's most talented team, not necessarily the best.

i know a few Penn State fans who think 94 PSU was better than the Red Sansabelt Crew. so, best team...ever...naw.

95 maybe.

94 CU was the most talented but i will say was mis coached. Mac tried to prove a point with the team and he was wrong. It was a classic example of a guy who was a great recruiter but an average game day coach.

Interesting little tidbit from this Texas game, did anybody notice the starting lineup on oline? 4 of the 5 starters were CO kids. We've been losing our fair share in that area lately in state.

There is no positon I'd rather fill with in-staters and I think it will directly corrolate to a vastly improved W-L record.

Also, re-watching this the thing that really stood out was that defense could really hit AND finish the play.

I don't necessarily agree, but a fair argument. I know it's not the first time I've heard this.

I think Mac was a better than average game day coach, but he royally screwed up the 94 NU game by constantly trying to ram it down their throats instead of using the full offensive capabilities of that team. CU was simply the better team, but they were outcoached that day.

Edit: Exxon-your avatar picture reminds me of my trip to lincoln: A Buff surrounded by a sea of red.
