Brooks: Neuheisel Can See Better Days Under Mac II

I read it. I'm able to compartmentalize when it comes to Rick. He's always been great with the media and he's in the right spot now as a media guy.

Article pretty much went through how Rick once said the thing about Colorado having all the things that money can't buy, how he believes that Colorado is still a destination place for people, and that CU can be great again.

Preached perseverance with the HCMM plan (he's done it before - just support him and give him time) and finding a group of financial backers since there's no financial trickle down from the state any more (not every school has a T. Boone or Knight, but CU could certainly pull together a group that cared enough about being great again to fund it in a similar way).

Damn you, Nik....I gave in...Thank God for Brooks. Only journalist out there that can write a decent article about CU.

He's one of the few, and possibly only, former coach in the media right now that seems content to be in the media, and not hoping for another coaching job. He's articulate and opinionated, and he loves picking at the SEC and their fans, which I enjoy. If anyone else listens to channel 91 on XM/Sirius, Neuheisel's the only guy I can stand in their bullpen of former coaches and players they trot out on that station.

not a fan of Rick and knew he would fail at UCLA....but he's right about a lot of this. still, the most encouraging thing is BG is a mouthpiece for the AD and HE is finding a way to say it.

maybe.
