It's nice to see more content coming out of the Scout site, James seems to be putting out more in the last month than I think I saw in 6 from Ringo.

love what I am hearing from post practice interviews from players. Sounds like the guys really did put in the work this summer, and the returning guys met their weight and strength goals set by the coaches. Idk if JE had that kind of system in place over the summer, but I am glad the players are focused and did not regress this summer.

Really does feel new around the football program right now. Something different in there air in Boulder. Maybe just blind summer optimism...

I just feel like the level of competence this staff has is light years ahead of the last two staffs we had here. I also really appreciate that MMac has never once, to my recollection, ever said one thing about a previous staff. Has had a forward looking approach from day one.

Dammit....I think I just drank the kool-aid.

That something in the air is basic competency in a head coach. We aren't used to it. We haven't had that in almost a decade. Not a member of The Carpenters, not a career obscure Tight End coach put in the big seat . We've gotten ourselves in a world of **** and it remains to be seen if he can get us out, but I like MM's chances in time.

This observation is just based off of practice photos, but the Defense is now wearing BLACK jerseys while the Offense is in WHITE (which is the opposite of what it's been the past few years). Just wondering if this is some sort of strategic maneuver to try and make the D more badass...
also, the QBs are wearing gold, vice green

Scout.com put all of their stories as Free content yesterday, I joined the site on their Buy one month and get three free months for 9.95. Like Super D said, a lot more content than ever before. Rivals is still pumping out a lot and does a great job as well.

Likely has to do with CU being the away team for the first game. Its a strategy a lot of coaches use to get their QB's used to seeing the white jersey's among the dark. Simple thing and may not have a big impact, but I know a lot of NFL coaches have used that technique in training camp.

Love the gold QB jerseys. That green made me want to hit something.

Also I am loving what I am hearing about Pow-Pow. If he can withstand the beating that a full time power running back takes, he could be a very good one for us. He sounds hungry and humble. Almost like he has been listening to P-Rich.

Whaddaya meam "idk if..." ??? You know damned well WB had NO such system in place, nor did Frere DH! That would have been ballyhooed everywhere as indications of competency among those HC's and their staffs.

It is even more evident than before that HCMM has a well-thought out plan, is executing it and the players in place are buying into it.....Thank you, Tuna! Guess that 3-8 with the Zoomies was a mere aberration.

Gehrke is listed on the roster as #4, but there is a QB in those photos who is wearing 7. Did he change his number?

And can someone please buy that kid a vowel?

The NCAA would probably put us on 3 years of probation if we did. tOSU and Miami can do what they want but we would get slammed for improper benefits.

Rain Couldn't Dampen First Practice Session

BOULDER— Tuesday afternoon’s rain dampened the practice fields, but did no such thing to the Buffs’ morale. When Colorado’s first practice of the season finally began after a half-hour delay, the only thing left in the air was a great amount of energy and excitement.

The 2013 CU fall camp finally got underway with a nearly three-hour session, which head coach Mike MacIntyre termed enjoyable for all.
