SB nation article

Those Utah fans know that their team isn't that great and if they have a 5-6 record when hosting CU, they will not feel comfortable about a win over CU. Out of all the Pac-12 games on the road, this one is the one that I'd be the most confident about a CU win on the road this season.

I believe this will become a rivalry but it won't be the same as the one we had with the Nubs and the one that the Utes have with the "zoobs" (BYU). The Nubs will continue to hate us through CSU and their Ramskers. Screw those Nubs, Ramskers, and Rammies!

I feel like the hatred on the hardwood between us and the cats will eventually spread over to the football field. I am perfectly ok hating arizona.

And Arizona has the color RED as well. So far I would say that both Utah and Arizona are our rivals. Still not feeling Arizona State but if there is a reason to hate ASU, I'd love to hear it.

shall we ballot stuff this thing?
I assumed we already were.

Colorado fans definitely take this rivalry with Utah seriously, obviously more than Ute fans do. And they do have the ammunition when they kept Utah out of the first ever Pac-12 Championship Game two-years ago.
We do?

Go visit Tempe for the football game decked out in Buff gear. You'll leave feeling quite differently. Off the scale douchebaggery at ASU.

Also with they way they reacted up here after the basketball game, I don't feel bad for hating them too.

For some reason I can't get into the mindset that the Utes are our rivals. I can't seem to get fired up when I see the ticker with a loss like I did with the huskers. The fact that we share the Rockies is just about all we have with the UTES. However, in Pac 12 football terms, I guess I would say Cal or Arizona would be my picks towards our building of a rivalry....leaning more towards AZ. Their arrogancy reminds me alot of the huskers for sure. That could be BB talking, but if there is a school to beat, AZ is my team to hate.

Agreed. Only place (besides Mile High v. CSU) that opposing team fans have yelled obscenities at my 70+ year old parents.

Easy for me which team I circle on our schedule. I want our primary rival to be the best! That team is not going to admit there is any rivalry at all. They will want nothing to do with us from the bottom of the conf. They are primarily red in color. Have huge football tradition! And we need to eventually battle them and win in recruiting! That team is USC.....

On Jan. 18, 1984, Kerr was murdered by Islamic militants for the crime of running that school. Two nights later, Steve cried before tipoff and then delivered his best game as an Arizona freshman, making five of seven shots against Arizona State.

He played to escape the pain. He even played the night an ASU crowd hit him with a sick chant of "PLO," sending Steve into a 20-point first-half rage.

ASU fans chanting that at Steve Kerr after his father was murdered is enough for me. Link.

More about it from an article in 1988.

Ha! Ha! Ha! Tempe is filled with Cali "6" & "7" girls who think they are hot sh*t, but were way too dumb to be admitted to any Cali school. Gotta go somewhere to work on that outdoor tan, so it might as well be the world's largest desert commuter school: 46,000 and 80%+ commute to campus from home. Think Metro State on steroids-----Can't get in to college ? Go to AZ State!

They're worth the hate just based on on their SEC-like academic "stds." and Jordan Bachynski.

Don't underestimate the amount of douches named "Mike" or "Joey" from NYC metro that took their 1.7 GPA right to ASU. Hobbies include "juicing it" and being orange, often with barbed wire tattoo around the arm. The orange female counterpart from Southern California typically has angel wings across the back.

I'll be at the Arizona game this year in Tucson. Curious to see how the students behave.

I don't think it's the students you have to worry about.

And maybe the fake refs. I had forgotten about this until I searched for the video above.

That was hillarious. I hadn't seen that before.

The bench clearing brawl was great too! Reminded me of the miami game except ours was better.

Of course I'd never condone such behavior , but that was fun to watch. I remember these three buffs dragging the hurricane into the endzone. I can't recall who the miami player was. It's too bad we couldn't pull out a win that day. I think we had some sort of pass interference call at the end end that ended a good drive to get the go ahead score.

It got ugly in the CU visit to Miami in '05 in its own way.

As a side note, having the treat of witnessing Miami get absolutely obliterated 48-0 on their home turf in the final game at the old Orange Bowl in 2007 was fantastic.
