Ran into some adversity and responded! Great game, despite the ST.

Thanks. You keep earning your stripes as the only likeable Ducks fan. :wink2:

Was going to reply to the game thread but it was closed, and didn't want to be "that guy" and make my own thread to give congratulations. So here I am posting in this thread, it's as good as any.

Congrats on the win this last weekend. With Wichita not having a team, I have no alma mater to cheer for. I've been a lifelong Tennessee Vols fan, but in the last 2-3 years since our meeting in basketball, I've been a Buff fan in all sports when ever I get them on TV. Cheered them on strong all game, and glad you all got that big W against a rival.

PS I'll most likely be in Denver for the Chiefs vs Broncos game this year. I'm sure a few of my friends here go to those games, so maybe we could all meet up for a beer.

Congrats back at you on the Final Four. I was pulling so hard for you guys that I was crying about the officiating the entire 2nd half. My friends thought I'd lost my mind.

Thanks a ton! Yeah that 2nd half was a little brutal to deal with, especially the call at the end on Baker. Some people will never understand when you cheer for a team that isn't your own, but feel a small connection with.

I was at the Final Four for all the games, and it was an experience I've never been close to in my life. Having around 75,000 people in an arena watching a game was just nuts. Louisville fans were nice, some jerks were met before our meeting, but after they only beat us by 4 and had to come back, I think the ones who were overly confident realized it wasn't a fluke that we were there. Didn't run into a Ville fan that didn't sing our praises for the rest of the tournament. Syracuse fans were the smallest group of fans there, but were classy and good fans. Not one bad time with them. Michigan fans on the other hand acted like spring breakers, and even dressed the part. Nearly every college aged kid there had the same tanktop/shorts/flat-bill/sunglasses look and acted like turds. Would not say that Michigan had a good fanbase, obviously there were great fans and poor fans a like, but the number of drunken idiots in Michigan gear was on a different level than the other groups there.

Witchita State is a great example of one of the fun things about college BB. Despite their protestations does anybody really think that a Boise State would be able toline up and play a major conference schedule and come out close to undefeated? They are good at what they do but the resources don't allow them to really compete.

On the other hand in BB teams like Witchita and Gonzaga show that teams from lower conferences can assemble a quality roster and compete head to head over multiple games with the "big boys."

It would be fun to see a year where WSU goes to the final four and KU gets knocked out in the first round. The reaction would be priceless and they couldn't argue about it being luck.

We feel the same way about Michigan fan here.

Michigan grads always find a way to mix into the conversation how they went to Michigan. Almost as annoying as Harvard grads with their false modesty/subtlety of mixing in anecdotes about when they were attending college in Cambridge.
