Anybody cheer for CSU when they're not playing CU?

Just wondering as they are not a threat in our conference and don't really affect our standings in any way, unless they beat us!

I admit when they're not playing CU, I pull for them (except when playing AFA).
I was happy for them in the NCAA tourney for basketball this year, too.

Good to see in state teams doing well....EXCEPT when they play CU! :)

I used to in the pre-Sonny days and even well into the Sonny days, but their fans have all but turned me off to the entire program. I have a lot of CSU alumni friends and family, so it's not like I want them to lose every game like I do certain other programs, but I'll be more than happy if they never compete for titles again in football or basketball.

Yes.

I mostly ignore them. Who are they playing this week? I don't know. I don't care. The next time I pay any attention to CSU will be when the basketball teams meet in December (or is it November?).

Used to. When certain persons in their fanbase actually tried to fake up stories to get CU on NCAA probabtion, well, that kind of poisoned the well for me.

Used to in the 80s and 90s before I realized how obnoxious their fans are.

I used to. I don't think about them much and don't watch their games, but it does make me smile when I see that they lost. It shouldn't be that way. I like Fort Collins. I root for all those in-state kids on their roster to do well. I have friends who went to CSU. But the spite toward CU that comes from that program makes it impossible to wish it well. Even in basketball, where them winning has such a positive impact on RPI for CU, I can't bring myself to cheer for them. I'm begrudgingly glad when they win until CU is in the Dance. Then I openly root against them.

No. Even CSU fans don't cheer for CSU when they're not playing CU.

Honestly, no. It makes me smile a little when I see they've lost yet another game -- not a big, broad, Nebraska lost kind of smile, but a smile nonetheless. My brother and his 2 kids all graduated from the school in Fort Collins, and none of them give a flying patoot about the goats - so why should I?

I used to until the Bradlee Van Pelt spike. Ever since then they've developed an attitude and I now openly root against them.

No. Post-Van Pelt it's simply not an option. I don't actively pull against them, either. They're so far below the radar playing the UTEPs of the world that you have to dig deep to hear anything about them after their super bowl in game 1.

I used to be neutral until I attended the game in Denver last year. Now I root against them at all times. If they play nebraska I'll root for a meteor strike. I think I'd cheer for CSU against Baylor, now that I think about it.

The ONLY team I NEVER root for is the fuskers.

Since CSU does have COLORADO in their name, I will, at least halfheartedly root for them.

after we beat them in fball or bball...then I root for them!...ie does cu no good if csu loses at Tulsa by 40
