...so you're saying Fresno State is going the "we don't play defense" route this year?

So much for DeRuyter being a D coach. We need a run game to beat this team. It's like watching Oregon against an SEC team. Eventually the bigger bodies takeover. I dunno if we have that...

Looking at this box score critically, it appears Derek Carr is a fan of the "forward pass."

And he's pretty damn good at it. Again.

I am so f-ing pissed right now! Why the hell did Rutgers go for 2?! This game was just too much of a confidence builder for Fresno State. Damn it!

Because the chances of stopping Fresno's offense on a 25 yard field in OT are slim. I don't fault going for 2, I fault not doing it right.

Fresno State has a lot of athletes who can flat our run, jump and score TDs. We don't have a cast like that outside of PRich and maybe a couple really raw young guys. Somehow these WAC schools find them some studs (see Utah State game as well, where they had more speed and athletic guys at WR than Utah did and it wasn't close).

Frenso State pulled out a win in OT. I wouldn't view that as a sign of a weaker team than last season just yet. They got Cal Poly next before they come up to Boulder.

Fog a mirror admission standards don't hurt...

Rutgers has some ridiculous athletes on offense. Not sure anyone you guys have except for Richardson is in their league.

Fresno St. is a very good team, Rutgers is way better than I thought! The problem here is when you look up Rutgers past 4 years in Rivals recruiting rankings they've signed 15 **** & 1 *****. They have TONS MORE TALENT than we do....I'm not convinced we can beat FS @ Folsom!!

Watch your ****ing language.

nah, we have to at least feel slightly more positive that this game could be somewhat competitive compared to how we felt two days ago. If the our offense gets in a rhythm...who knows!

Why on earth would we feel more positive about the game after that? Our only hope was for Fresno State's offense to be inexplicably crappy this year. No way in hell we can keep up in a shootout, when our only offensive weapon is PRich.

People talk about Spruce, DD, McCullough and some of the freshman as being the compliments to our best WR core in years. I always want to ask how that means anything at all? Our WR core has been awful for the entire time I've been in Boulder. The PRich year with Clemons as a Senior was ok, but not exactly "4 wide". Fresno State and Utah State have 3-4 guys on the field who can flat out ball all night, including subs. We are not there. As you stated, we got one really good guy and then we are looking at some adequate guys who probably aren't playing on Sundays.... (and hopefully some ballers who will redshirt, but that mostly remains to be seen).

WR is not a strength at CU, even if it's better than past years on average.

Too soon? We've got a lot to work on in practice. Let's hope we get a running game going. I don't even know how to begin dealing with special teams. Whatever the case is, I am actually excited for this game rather than afraid.

We better fill up Folsom with some rowdy fans!

I'm effin stoked!

So excited for the game, hope I can actually watch it in it's full this time

Fresno State defeated Cal Poly (FCS) 41-25. We're going to have ample opportunity to get some points. Simply cannot turn the ball over if we're to have a puncher's chance in this one.
