We now go to a quarter of the SEC....

Yahoo just released a story on impermissible benefits being provided to players from Alabama, Tennessee, and Ole Miss. DJ Fluker is one of the named players so it could potentially impact one of Bama's titles.

I dunno about this one, it sounds like they definitely took extra money, but without doing a deep dive into the article I think it was coming from potential future agents rather than any sort of booster support. I almost think there should be a legit way for guys clearly headed to the league to get advice/direction from legit agents, which would be preferable to guys going through shady unqualified street agents.

Its the SEC so probably nothing happens, but it looks like the reporters have been given an actual papertrail and lots of documentation. Isn't this what USC got crushed for essentially? Though I think they got hammered under the premise that the school knew or should have known and looked the other way.

Maurice Couch Played for me his sophomore year then moved downtown and changed schools. he bounced around before landing at Tenn. guy was the real deal.

CNS just walked out on a presser when he said he would respond to any questions about this and was asked one. Fluker was homeless during high school and lived in a car with three other people. If we go on probation because he got a bed and $200 from an agent without UA knowing I can live with that.

That's the stuff that bugs me about the way the NCAA runs things. We take kids like that, throw them in a place with a bunch of rich kids and surround them with people who want to shower them with all sorts of 'improper' things, and expect them to always say no. It's stupid.

Now **** you NCAA for making me defend Bama.

When we played for championships in the 90s, players on our team received improper benefits. I would argue that every team to win a championship since the 70s has had one or multiple players receive improper benefits. You know it, I know and the NCAA knows it.

The winners in college football are dirty, top to bottom. It doesn't matter anymore, the NCAA has made it clear that they won't be doing anything about it.

The winning part is key. If you win, they let it slide. If you do it and still suck, you're in big trouble.

How pissed is USC going to be if these teams get a walk on this. I'd tell the NCAA to stuff it and immediately fill the outstanding scholarships.

UA is more comfortable on probation anyway.
