Utah loses to UCLA by 7 after turning the ball over 6 times

6 INT's and they only lose by 7

Utah appears to have settled in to a solid football team after a shaky start to the year.

Anyone who watched the game last night have an informed opinion?

http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=332760254

PS - the UCLA DB that intercepted the ball on Utah's last drive is kicking himself today for not running that thing all the way in for a TD - what was he thinking??

That was a crazy but good college game. The tx vs iowa st. game was really good also... man texas is so lucky, they should have lost that game like 3 times the last three or four plays.

Yea, the DB was also a freshman, might not get that chance again in the next four years.

The end of that utah vs ucla game was crazy. When we play hundley, you have to contain him and make him throw, he / they can be beat. ucla has a defensive end/ outside LB that we are going to have to double team. I think his name is bell?? kid is HUGE and fast.
utah is a tough environment to play in and they had that place rocking. BUFFS need to improve as the season goes along to be ready for utes defense, they play pretty nasty.

SoCal teams don't like those cold nights in the Rockies! Some really foolish plays in that game, with all the stupid turnovers on both sides. Just goes to show what happens when your defenders actually hold on to potential interceptions!

That UCLA DB's last INT was just a variation of the "Danny Travathan"! Get to the sidelines for the praise and celebration rahter than score the TD.

Still not sold on Mora. He's too up and down. No way that game should have been that close.

I don't have the Utah game on my list of possible wins. My list is AZ, Cal, USC. I think that Buff fans underrate the Utes a bit.

We will see how they finish the season but two years ago Utah blasted UCLA at home and then UCLA blasted us at home

They were heavy favorites to win 2 years ago (would have played in Pac 12 title game had they beat us) and lost at home to Colorado. They barely escaped with a win against the worst CU team in history last year. The are beatable.

Yep, you have plenty of time to peruse the message board, read the responses, and post all in the time the light is red. You've joked about it in other threads. It is absolutely not funny or a joke. Neg repping. Get a clue.

I watched almost the entire game. It wasn't a well played game by either offense. I felt bad for Wilson, his first 4 picks were all off of tipped balls. There were a lot of dropped balls by both teams, too.

I was surprised by how poorly UCLA blocked Utah's front 7. I know Utah blitzed on almost every passing down, but even the run blocking wasn't as good as I had seen it earlier this year.

I have watched tons of college football over the years. I know in college football you can win with 1 or 2 key skilled players that can "make the play" when needed...

but, this year it seems as though that statement is really true... one or two players at skilled positions making the play when needed. PRich, CWood, AGillam, GHenderson and maybe MAdkins II - I am talking to you... Go make "the" play !

Agree. You see it all the time. When UCLA needed it last night, Hundley just stepped up and took care of it himself (running TD). Wilson almost did v Oregon st. When it was close v CSU, Richardson just sort of ran around on no particular route until he was open, Wood hit him, and TD. Johnny F-ing F**kface does it all the time. Wood CAN do it, I just wish he had the confidence to grab the game by the balls and do it. It seems like he tries to play too procedurally.

Utah has some talented individuals but are beatable.

UCLA has a long history of stepping up and beating teams they were expected to lose to then turning around and getting beat by teams with way less talent than they have.

I'm not suggesting that we should count on UCLA as a win but I wouldn't be shocked if they have one of their "beat us" games against us or anyone else.

Oh so that's over the line here. Take a midol and go eat some chocolate.

How is it worse than looking at short skirts at a red light? Or eating a cheeseburger or flipping through radio stations?

Because, it is pretty much impossible to do all of that at the red light. He is checking stuff on his phone while driving, even if he isnt inputting anything. Heard any statistics lately? I'm a pretty laid back person 99.9% of the time, but I have a huge pet peeve with texting or drinking while driving.

Edit: Boom! 5,000 posts!

Being stopped at a red light and checking my phone = texting and driving

Gotcha

Well...two pos reps vs. one neg rep

Utah and UCLA loose one or two games a year they should not. Cal does the same. Pre Pac 12, Utah would loose to UNM or some other poor MWC team each year.

They are adjusting to the new conference.

My takeaways from last night were: that UCLA looked pretty good on O with 2-3 freshmen o line men playing. (Stars and Coaching matters and our recruiting sucks);
Utah has better recievers than CU and it is one of their weaknesses.(Across the board. P rich is better than Dres);

Utah wins that game if guys hit in the hands hold the ball instead of running the line backer tip drill.

Both teams will be 14 point or greater favorites to our buffs.

He was just trying to be funny. It might have fallen flat but I don't think the anger is justified. I hate texting and driving too but I've done it a few times. Usually at stop lights. I try not to and I feel stupid for doing it afterwards.

Cool. Glad you got the pos reps to reinforce your bad and dangerous habit. When your brains are splattered from windshield to backseat because your were only "checking" your phone in hopes of knowing how to respond at the next message on allbuffs, and you wrapped your car around a telephone pole, it is no skin off my back. I just pray you don't ever hurt anybody else in the process.

It's just a tongue-in-cheek comment, or sig line I guess. Ironically all my posts have come from either my bed or my couch since I put it up.

Fair enough. I'm not really trying to be on a crusade here. Just can't fix stupid I guess. I'll drop it.

Won't be any skin off my back either, I'll be dead. Nothing really matters when you're dead.

You wouldn't be shocked if we beat UCLA on the road?

I wouldn't be.

UCLA over the years has been one of those teams that's capable of beating just about anyone and capable of losing to just about anyone. I certainly wouldn't put any money on it, even if somebody gave me odds but it wouldn't be shocking like the Buffs beating an Oregon or one of the other teams that consistently beats the teams they are "supposed to."

This does not seem like the UCLA of old, and they will likely be a top 10 team when we go in there with a whole lot of talent and speed. I would be absolutely shocked if we even came close to beating UCLA on the road.

See, I think UCLA had one of those games last night. That was as poorly as I've seen them play this year. Granted, you have to give some of the credit for that to Utah, but I think UCLA might be one of those teams that this year that can have a let down and still beat most of the teams in the division.

I would love for us to go down there and get a win, but I think it would take more than a letdown game for us to do it.

It would only be the best win for the program since the 2007 Oklahoma game. It would mark only the third road victory since 2008. But it wouldn't shock Mtn Buff. Good to know.

how does a car get wrapped around a telephone pole when it is stopped at a red light? Look I hate texting and driving too, but if the car is not moving and then they throw their phone in the cup holder when the light turns green, what is the problem?

Your reading comprehension is poor. Re-read my response to your earlier post. It isn't the texting at the light that is the problem.
