Those are our best players in that order imo. All are solid Pac-12 players and could play on any team. After that however, is a pretty huge drop-off in talent. No one else stands out

O'neill?

You are pretty accurate. I'd put Chido close to that group as well.

Kickers don't count until you need them.

And I think Crawley *could* be in that group, but there's something missing there. I don't know what it is. Dude could be great, but it just isn't happening.

We should also be cautious of making too many blanket statements based on what we saw yesterday. Oregon does that to just about everybody. We're not immune. I actually saw some things I liked yesterday.

Gillam ranked #4 in total tackles.

Not just the number of tackles, but I love the way he tackles. Confident tackles, in which he never releases the ball carrier. But it's not all finesse, either--sometimes he brings some pop. That kid is amazing.

I saw lots of good stuff. Special teams improving. Running game good. Run D still good. PRich bounced back. Problem is we dropped balls and they made mistakes. Could have been a little closer...but good teams make the plays they're given. When we do that consistently, then well be bowling.

Hope these kids don't get down on themselves. They played well.

Gilliam is good but he is making more tackles because the dline is doing their jobs.

Henderson is also tied for first in the nation with 4 INT's....never thought I'd see the day where we have a top DB in that category. P-Rich is tied for 7th in the nation in receiving yards. I also have to keep in mind that we have played one (or two in some cases) less games than some of these other teams.

Last year wasn't Terrell that had the most tackles (or Orms)? I'm glad the mlb is leading the team in tackles and not a safety.

Doesn't mean they're not doing their jobs, though. Nor does it mean a "huge" drop off in talent. For example, name the UO talent other than Black Mamba, that unbelievable QB, Mariota and a couple of other skill pos. guys and the two CBs. You can't......they just do their jobs and do them extremely fast and well..

DL has to being something right to open up Gillam for all those tackles. Bonsu has his moments, as does Solis. The back seven is generally making tackles and usually in the right places, even if they get beat by the other guys; totally unlike last year when well-played stops by the Buffs' "D" stood out because thay were so unusual. (Fresno and AZ games were great examples of absolutely clueless "D".

On "O", Id say Powell is just now starting to recover, Adkins looks very decent and Goodson can make some plays. Spruce would play for anyone, as a possesion WR, while Crabb and Harris are very serviceable, if not starters elsewhere.

As noted before, don't compare this team with UO, there are only a handful of teams in the entire country who could stay with them when they are "on". Nobody in the B1G, nobody in the Big 12 or ACC except maybe FSU and just the top three or so of the SEC.

Henderson is playing himself right into a 1-3 rounder for the league if he keeps it up.
However, he got burned big time playing man on an Oregon TD pass. The receiver had 5 yards separation on him. That said, we need to pressure the QB. we are leaving our DB's on an island.

If Henderson had some reliable help over the top, I think we would play more aggressive. He has a nose for the ball, you don't get to 4int's with out that. He isn't the fastest, but he will be drafted. Hell Jimmy Smith and Jalil Brown were drafted...

The process is painfully slow, but this new staff does appear to be coaching these kids up. There are some very good athletes on this team. Gillam has been the biggest surprise imo

He is playing himself into the league. I don't know if he will ever be considered as high as you are saying. He is becoming a very smart and technically sound DB but still doesn't have elite speed and quickness. He is very good in zone but there is a reason they put Crowley on the WRs who are the elite athletes dispite Crowleys lapses.

I love Hendo as a player. Kid is a leader, smart, a much better athlete than anybody thought coming in. I remember people complaining about him being a guy that no other schools really wanted.

He has a lot to offer at the next level but they love numbers and flash and despite his INTs and his willingness to be a complete defensive player he is likely to be hurt by the combine numbers.

If he can continue at the current pace for INT's (Averaging 1 a game) He will be looked at very hard in the early rounds. They do like measurables, but you cannot deny production.

Henderson is playing himself into being considered 4-7 for the draft.....but he has been a solid performer for us since his freshman year!
