F*** Joel Klatt

On the Petros & Money show tonight, Klatt tried to be funny:

"Aaron Murray, I felt so bad for the guy. He's just throwing to a bunch of white guys." --referencing the injuries UGA's dealing with, racially.

Petros & Money, who themselves are pretty irreverent, even they realize that Joel has gone off the reservation a bit, and they to transition out of this topic.

Joel continues..."Petros, I love this kid, I don't want to disparage him, but, I know what it's like to throw to a guy like Dusty Sprague."

Audio is in the 25th+ minute of the 3rd hour here: http://www.foxsportsradio.com/media/podcast-petros-money-petrosmoney/109-pms-hour-3-23820549/

I used to stick up for Joel. Maybe he wasn't the humblest of radio show hosts, but as a game analyst he was pretty polished, compared to most.

That comment though, that's ridiculous. Joel, I bet Sprague wishes he had better talent throwing footballs to him too, he's just not on national radio to make jokes about it.

Wow. You can look at that (those) remarks from every angle, and mull them over and reflect on them repeatedly, and still only reach one conclusion: Joel Klatt's an asshole.

That's not the only possible conclusion; I think he's a ****ing idot, also. It's sad that he has an audience.

Wonder what Wes Welker and Eric Decker think about that... Joel is spiraling downward at a cosmic rate.

What an ass...he has come a long way from his days with CJ...unfortunately it has been all downhill. Maybe the concussion he got from the UT guy was more serious than we thought.

His ego is so F***ing big. I heard him on altitude Black&Gold edition last night.

on a side note I love listening to CJ and Brown

While I don't think he should be saying this on air, which one of us didn't at least think this last year when our receiving (non) threats were Spruce, McCulloch and Ebner?! Luckily for me, being in VA/MD, I didn't get to hear all of the non-sense Klatt has spewed the last few years on air...

Me? If I had concerns, it had exactly nothing to do with the receiver's color.

But this is Klatt annoyance is far bigger than a race issue. It's about throwing a teammate, and a good Buff, under the bus, to make himself feel better about his own performance. What a dick.

You're a good man Orr, but I know it crossed my mind a few times. Right wrong or indifferent...

Actually, I'm an asshole, but I'm not wired to view performance in those terms. It's not as if I'm unaware of race in athletics, though.

How many of you guys have thrown passes to Dusty Sprague? none so shut your mouths.

Plus Sprague was pretty good for us (and for Klatt). We needed additional WR playmakers back then, but Sprague could get open.

Wait! McCulloch is white?

While I certainly don't judge performance in those terms....I often admittedly think of a white receiver as being more of a "possession" receiver. However Sprague shouldn't have been thrown out there like that. Hard to believe when he graduated, he was 9th all time in receptions and yds. This convo makes me miss Scotty McKnight.

Blame Gary Barnett, he left Joel in far too long in many games , then Joel got his bell rung too many times from vicious hits from defenders.

Who could ever forget Gary's answer to a post-Miami game quetion about whether he considered subbing Klatt out, late in that rout: "Why, I never even thought about it!"

Then in GB's folly finale for the Buffs, the 70-3 debacle against UTejas, he left Klatt in to just get battered late. Joel has an excuse; Barnett has none!

'Cause he's white?

Wow, I can't believe he said that, especially on such a national show. Klatt has shown two clear things. (1) He really lacks class (take some lessons from Manning, Chauncey, etc.) and (2) Klatt is still very immature.
