Sefo played tonight. He looked much improved from fall camp

Lied what I swa form Sefo tonight...also learned how to pronounce his last name.

Reminded me of tyler hansens first playtime, minus every shred of buff defense. Hope hes managed better

That was a waste of a rs year right there. This team isn't going to be improved enough with him in to bother burning the shirt. I'm so tired.

It does put him in better position to lead this team in the offseason thru spring ball & summer practices, though. If he'd never played, it would be a lot harder for him to take the role he needs to.

I guess so. We are so far from seeing anything close to resembling p 12 quality football that I'm not sure i would have done this. But I'm not angry about it or anything. It is just one more desperate move in a decade of total **** football. This is the worst stretch ever.

Got him some experience tonight, now he'll have Charleston Southern to get his first start. It's not a bad time to do it. I could give a **** about 2017 at this point.

This. If the staff doesn't do something to bring a little hope to the program now, none of us are going to be watching in 2017 anyway.

Yes we would. We're all obviously masochists.

Thing is, he has to start now. Has to. Maybe that's not such a bad thing, but in the grand scheme of things, a fifth year Sefo starting an entire season is preferable to a Freshman Sefo starting half a season.

Mac didn't have a choice. Wood regressed over the past couple weeks where he couldn't blatantly alley oop it to Richardson every time. The guy doesn't have the mind and composure to succeed at this level. I bet Wood's a nervous wreck before games and it shows. He usually will stumble out the gates and only settles down once it's 0-21 or 0-28 and the pressure is gone.

We needed to get Sefo in there. Find out what we have, see if he can remain more composed, and I think he will. I feel like we have some decent WR's, we just need to take advantage of defenses doubling Paul Richardson. We need to find Spruce, DD Goodson more. CU should watch what Denver is doing with Julius Thomas and put McCulloch into that type of stand up TE position. It's good that Sefo can move too because this OL is awful and he'll need that escapability.

Hopefully Sefo will seize this opportunity and make it count especially against Charleston Southern. It would be nice to build a little confidence heading into Zona (winnable game), UCLA, UW and Cal (Winnable game).

What I'm looking for out of Sefo that we did not see out of Wood is progress. Sefo, by his own admission, had a few plays he would like to have back and made some mistakes that he knows he cannot afford to make. I'm optimistic that he won't continue to make those mistakes going forward and will continue to get better.

That zone read out of the pistol formation with a single back was open all day on the outside if Sefo held the ball, but that'll get fixed with experience. He looked much more mature than a 18 year old.

For better or worse Sefo needs to start the rest of the games this year. He made plays in his first drive that Wood wasn't seeing. It would be nice to redshirt guys like him but if he is the best option play him.

Redshirt would have been ideal, but our current problems are so significant it triggered the move. If the team quits we face losing recruits again. It is a big burden on Sefo to try and rally the team around him, but he really did show some signs last night! Damn impressive first drive!

I watched a ton of football yesterday and I have to admit, we were the worst team I witnessed all day. Here's to Sefo providing a spark that encourages a positive look forward for both current team members and those thinking about helping to turn this barge back in the right direction. It's gonna be a tough slog no doubt! Starts with next week which will not be easy!

I exhausted! :bang:

Maybe the Broncos can distract me for a day

Good thoughts on Sefo and McCulloch. Will be very interesting to see how we come out against Charleston as it is our present reality. Sefo mobility can have a positive impact. Seems like most other teams I watch have a QB that can do that when under pressure in the pocket. In our case the pressure on our QB will likely happen more often unfortunately.

Connor is not the guy. Sefo is young but maybe we catch lightening in a bottle here. We have 3 games with some shot at winning. Here's hoping we run that table.
