It's Game Day (so lets win that XC championship)

Another PAC 12 title for the Buffs!

That's for the men's xc team in case you were wondering. Women's race comes up soon. Beautiful day at Coal Creek golf course.

Big time homer PA announcer at the XC championships. Announced the win for the Buffs after only about 1/4 of the field had finished.

Women's race starts in 5 min. Let's go Buffs!

Awesome! I miss the old XC days. How was the course? Is it a good spectator venue? I'd think so. Was there a good crowd?

I guess we ran it there instead of the CU course in order to give the flat landers a fair chance,

Exactly. Ha. Very good crowd, but not huge by any means. Course was right on the golf course, 3 loops for men's, and 2 for women's race. These factors made it super spectator friendly. It was also very well marked for the clueless people out there.

Fun morning, and well worth the trip into Louisville.

Nice showing by CU women too. A close second place. We just needed more runners up front around 10th or so.

The "old XC days" was you sitting at the half way mark with a couple of six packs, cheering on the competitors, right?

My son ran the actual CU home course one time in HS and said it was absolutely brutal and he's lived (and trained) at altitude his whole life!

Wow, our FB program has sunk to new levels-our hardest core fans are using a football thread about game day against a top 20 conference opponent to talk about women's XC. That is sad.

Here's to hoping 2014 doesn't see the same disinterest! (FYI I am not slamming you guys-I get it, just bummed we can't be excited about the game and talking about what it will take to win it.)

It's diStefano's fault.

Shiny black helmets, black pants, white jersey's. Players don't like the gold helmets?

My kids ran in HS. Unfortunately, or fortunately, you weren't allowed to take beer. But I really enjoyed going to the meets.

I guess this is the game thread.

That Harris false start hurt.

Also, Spruce needs to toughen up and get as many yards as possible and not step out of bounds. Plus he had a drop that could have really hurt us, but luckily DD came through.
