Very encouraging. Hope we build on it

I support systemic racism
Could easily have been in the lead in the second half if we could just finish drives better. I feel so much better after tonight than I have at any point over the last couple years.

Need to improve next week and beyond.

Build on what? We've given up more than 40 yet again and lucky as **** to not have let them cover the 26.5 spread. Nothing encouraging to see here.

So at the end of 3 quarters we have as many yards, more plays, and more time of possession than them. The offense didn't have a turnover. All against the #20 team in the nation on the road....and you don't see anything positive?

We had good practice kicking field goals?

Are you ever positive? Holy ****. Moral victories suck but we played a damn good team on the road pretty tough all things considered (difference in talent level being the biggest). We need to finish drives but there's positives to take from this game, such as the team not giving in to a team with a clear talent advantage like they did last year and still going out and playing hard despite getting your teeth kicked in in the Pac 12 games. The team could have easily quit by now, the fact that they aren't is very positive.

Nope. We still lose by 23. If you want to claim a moral victory by not letting the other team cover a 26.5 point spread, have at it.

Last year UCLA would have been up by 40 playing the guys who never get their uniforms dirty and trying not to score to make it look worse.

I saw lots of signs of progress. For the first time in a long time, we looked like a legitimate Pac-12 team. And Sefo looks like a legitimate Pac-12 QB.

One mini-rant about Fox1: I found the end zone angle angle they used on kickoffs to be extremely annoying. You could not really see anything. You could not see how far the kick went, you could not see how the blocking scheme developed, or the coverage developed, or even see the two fumbles.

Not enough athletes. Pretty simple really. Freshmen or rs frosh in games they shouldn't be in. Lots of guys who can't play at the p12 level. The combo is deadly.

I am encouraged by the coaching. Sure, everyone questions play calls here and there but the staff is competent. Can they recruit?

Not one for moral victories, but the team didn't fold in the first quarter like they have on the road this year. Now don't **** the bed against UDub and make it somewhat entertaining entering the fourth and that's something. Not great nor even good, but one step forward.

You're serious? You can't see anything encouraging here? At all?

Well f*** me sideways, I must have watched the wrong game.

Make our field goals and don't fumble on the kickoff and it is a 28-26 game in the fourth quarter. So ya, I'll say it was an improvement.

+1 on the fox1 comment

-1 on the name.

On the plus side, Sefo is gritty and poised. Have to like him.

On the downside, running QBs are forever the bane of our existence. Someday we're going to figure that thing out, and it'll be an awesome day.

I don't hate Lindgren or anything, but the dude errs on the side of overly conservative too much imo. Also, get the ball to PRich more. Jet sweeps, bubble screens, bunch formations. Something. Get him the ball.

Our red zone play calling is awful

There are probably 3 winnable games left on the schedule. Sefo looks good, the run game is strong, the Oline is looking better, but the D still sucks. I see a lot to build on.

But I get it. The world is black and white isn't it? A win is a win and a loss is a loss. Doesn't matter that our freshman quarterback played a better game than we've seen from a Buffs quarterback in a long time. Doesn't matter that we were facing one of the premier defensive teams in the nation, in their stadium, and managed to put up 23 points.

I'm getting pretty sick of people who can't see anything positive in anything. This team sucks. We know it. I'm not trying to say the world is all rainbows and sunshine and unicorns, but you can't seriously tell me that after watching that game you couldn't find one thing encouraging.

I guess it depends on your expectations. I find a lot to be encouraged about because my expectations when we play ranked teams on the road are that they don't get boat raced.

I was encouraged that they competed for the entire game. If the Buffs find a way to finish, they're going to compete in the rest of their games. The O-line did pretty well for a lot of the game, wore down towards the end - better. This is progress, this is not the Buffs of old yet. I saw fight the entire game, and that's a big improvement.

Right direction. I still need more alcohol though.
