Chances of beating USC may be going up?

Does anyone really think we have the horses to keep up with USC? Really?
Not a chance if they are firing on all cylinders. But if the stars align and we play our best game of the year, and they play like they did against WSU, perhaps b/c they are looking past us, or because it is so f***g cold than we have a chance.

Look, I want the Buffs to win as much as anybody, but the likelihood of winning $C is remote. UU is likely an L too, barring some terrific good fortune...I would love to be wrong, but I would suggest you all buckle up and prepare for two more L's.

Wasn't the game two years ago a late start ? I seem to remember it being cold as well. Didn't seem to bother USC.

I don't remember it being too cold, it was also in early November. Embree was also the coach, so there's that.

I don't think it was too cold two years ago.

It's probably not going to matter considering the way $C's playing.

Of course, we can avoid kicking to Agholor by using our super-secret '****ed-up-squib-kick-that-turns-into-an-onside-kick' kickoff.

My testicles finally got their color back and now we have a 7:30 PM game? Geez!

I think most of us are realistic and do not expect a victory in either of our final games. But the Cal game gave us just a little optimism that it is at least a remote possibility we could win one of the final 2 games if the stars aligned.

At least for me personally, I would be more than happy with this season if we finished 4-8 (I predicted 3 wins), and we close out the season with 2 competitive games where we are in them beyond the 1st half. That is my goal now.

So how is U$C playing in your opinion? They got up for a HUGE game, at home in front of a sold-out Coliseum. Furd's Hogan played like sh*t (a not uncommon occurance this year) and they won by the 3 pts. Furd gave back to 'em, with that ridiculously low trajectory FG block and stupid interception......wow...

Against Cal, the Cubbies gave the game away with two punts returned for TDs and a blocked punt returned for a TD, as well as two long runs by Allen...hard to judge $C by that massive "fail"on the part of Cal! Lost to the Domers, almost lost to AZ when that krazy QB led AZ back and had them on the verge of a tying TD. The only recent game they seemed to dominate was against the Beavs, but in that one, Beavs' QB Mannion threw three picks--two in the redzone and the Beavs f'ed up two FG attempts, still only losing by 17....so, just how are they playing right now? Other than Allen, who's looked great ....in nice warm weather!

I don't care about the qualifiers. They are playing much better than they were under Kiffin, and they just beat a top ten team.

Not only that, but they are responding well to their coach, who probably needs to win out to keep his job.

Obviously it's possible that $C might come out a little down after winning a big game, a week before playing UCLA. I wouldn't count on it, though.

+1

**** it, I am ready to be dissappointed again I guess. Do I really expect to beat U$C, no. But my heart says **** them and the goddamn horse those ****ing condoms are riding in on. I expect the best game to date for our Buffs and to squeak out a win.

USC is going to come in arrogant. Just beat Stanford and is looking to the big time matchup with UCLA after getting into the top 25. Classic trap game set up. If we catch them sleep walking the first half, we may be able to pull this off. We just need to play disciplined, mistake free football.

USC will wake up quickly if that happens. They are playing for the conference championship, and they are playing for Orgeron's future (ala Cabral). Unlike CU when we succumbed to a more talented team under Cabral, USC is way better than Colorado at this point. Nothing is impossible, but they will not be arrogant as much as focused.

If ASU wins earlier in the day, USC is playing for pride and bowl positioning. Could see a let down.

If the bRUINS win, then USC will be very focused. That game would be for south title next week.

If it's cold, and we get up by a couple touchdowns in the third quarter, they may pack it in. I wouldn't put much stock in that.
