FIRE Neinas Now!!!

Meh, they were terrible today no doubt, but let's wait to see if it's a pattern or if they correct these mistakes like good coaches do. I will say, if this is the product we're getting out of ST, he better be recruiting his ass off.

Not sure how much blame goes on the coach for player totally missing tackles. And it wasn't just on special teams. We whiffed on several tackles on defense as well.

It was/is when I typed it from my seats...Allbuffs can decide.

Oh puhleeeze! Stop the ass clownery now! His special teams also scored 12 points on FGS and nailed every extra point. O'Neil showed a keen awareness of what he was doing, as did Oliver on KO's. So, which half of Neinas you gonna fire ass-hat?

A few rookies overran their coverage and G. Henderson had a huge whiff on that punt return. Those coverage tackling errors will be corrected. I seriously doubt we'll see them again.

Our youth and lack of depth is showing up on the coverage teams.

I have confidence in this staff getting that stuff fixed.

Oliver had his best game as a Buff and O'Neill had good punting stats except for Net Punting due to that return.

I had not seen a replay of the punt return. I watched it several times. I thought there was a pretty clear block in the back to spring him right after he caught the ball. Still, 2 other guys were there also and whiffed. So no excuses.

Uh....it was Henderson who whiffed on that PR! Coverage was very good on that punt. That CSU kid should have fair-caught the ball based on coverage bearing down on him. But he was the replacement return guy, he didn't know any better and got lucky.

The CU guy on the other side of that PR'er was clearly pushed from behind. As we all know from punting to the Rocket, a clip can make a huge difference!

Henderson missed a tackle, but all day you saw guys catching blocks on special teams coverage and losing land integrity. There is a lack of talent on those teams with the coaches wisely limiting the number of special teams a starter is allowed to play on.

To go out and selectively fire a group of people simply because they are named "Nina" is illogical and legally indefensible.

Fire. Him. Fire Him Now. Make him Walk Home from Corvallis. Or have his Daddy pick him up...isn't that what all this has been about anyway?

I think Mac is too loyal to fire someone mid-season. Especially b/c he knew coming in this year would be rough. But to be one of the few (no idea how many) BCS teams with a full-time ST guy and have the ST be such a weak link every game is ridiculous. If things don't improve across the board on ST by the end of the season and HCMM doesn't fire him I am going to be disappointed and worried for the future.

Agreed. The team continuity and professionalism tells me that he stays till the end of the season and gets a real chance to make his mark. If they still suck at season's end then he needs to go.

Have we used these wide splits all year? Given the first two punts had severe pressure w/ those splits, why do it again pinned deep?

Edit: Oh, and having Sevrenson return the ball from inside the end zone is like a 5-10 yd penalty on each kick
