biggest recruiting weekend of the year... and the coldest weather in 3 years?

Early list looks like

Evan White
Kaleb Hill
Kolin Hill
Deshane Hines
Glen Ihenacho
Trevor Kelly
Hanuteli Vatuvei
Pio Vatuvei
Rick Gamboa
Donovan Lee

(info listed on pay sites, no sub required for scout/247s)

You have to imagine Apsay will be here along with a couple other commits

What a huge weekend. If we get 2 to 4 of the non-committed players from this weekend that will immediately make us a solid class. All on the list would be great, but I am really hoping for Louisi. Does anyone know if his brother is coming?

Not the coldest in three years. Last winter there was a brutal stretch where it didn't get above single digits and in January 2011 the highs were below zero. Still, sucks that the weather is gonna be cold, hope the environment wins out.

The cold weather doesn't scare me. People know it gets cold here. A lot of people actually believe Boulder and Denver are mountain towns anyway.

The elevation and cold weather only serve to give us better home field advantage (once we have enough talent to compete).

These kids are committing to the staff, the system, playing time, education and the program's potential over weather. And of course, wins count for more than anything.

If a kid can't handle the cold, I don't want him! Only tough guys need apply.

Hey, you never know what will appeal to a kid. Plus, the entire central US, including Texas, is going to be colder than a witch's tit in a brass bra. Colder than a well digger's ass.

According to the news this morning, the coldest temps in 3 years. I'd research it, but I'm sure you will for me. Just repeating what the newsman said.

Nah, I don't care that much, I just vividly remember the two times I described above

Not going to pretend that unseasonably cold weather is a good thing or even a neutral thing. It would be better if it was 60 and sunny.

But if the weather is going to determine how well this staff recruits, we've got big problems.

or as my grandfather says: "colder than a whore's heart."

I will take Colorado cold over Dallas cold, freezing rain, and drunken rednecks any day, bitches.

I can attest - 35 degrees here in merry land feels like 20-25 in glorious Colorado. If they can't hang, we don't need their candy asses.

And the logic of having a ton of recruits in when there's no game is ….? Or maybe that's a good thing.

Uh, maybe because there's a basketball game against the #2 team in the country with a packed house of CU fans.

I really, really want Vatuvei. He looks like he could come in right away and replace CUD. I like Reed and Gilbert okay, but this guy is fast and weighs in at 285. Seems like a really good DE prospect.

The cold weather is a huge advantage for CU. Allows for bonding experience while ice fishing in Boulder Res.

^This I wonder if Oregon and UW are worried if it rains during one of their recruits visits. Everyone knows it gets cold here.

The campus, Boulder, and the Flatirons look even more beautiful with a coat of snow. If the cold weather is a deciding factor, then that kid really shouldn't be considering us.

When the weather's cold
the liquor flows
and the coeds
look for friends
to warm their beds
