... why in hell three of the major CCG's (Pac-12, ACC, and B1G) are being broadcast at the same time? That can't be great for ratings ... not to mention viewers like me wearing out our right thumbs switching the remote.

Seems to me that in past years they were staggered, so there was minimal (if any) overlap.

I agree, it was better when they staggered. ACC should be the morning game, B1G10 should be game #2, Pac12 game #3, and SEC the nightcap.

Actually, the Pac game should probably be the nightcap, based on where the games will be played. Start in the East, make your way West.

Except that TV ratings determine when games should be played. The SEC routinely demonstrated that they don't care about staying up late for football this season (e.g. LSU/Bama was an 8pm EST start).

I'm only interested in watching the PAC 12 and SEC. ACC game this year is a joke. B1G will be okay...I want OSU to win so there's no controversy and the 2 unbeaten teams play for the title. I think they'll have their hands full with MSU though.

Nightmare scenario...OSU and Auburn lose and ****ing Bama is back in the FBS champ game.

8:00 EST is 5:00 Pacific time. The SEC could have there game at 8:00 EST, and the PAC could have it 3 hours later.

No. Nightmare scenario is: Mizzou loses, OSU loses, FSU loses, and the NCG is an Iron Bowl rematch...

How is that a nightmare scenario? That would be awesome. Of course my cheering guide goes:

1.) Cheer for Colorado
2.) Cheer for whomever is playing Nebraska
3.) Cheer for chaos

Solution: Minimum of 3 Tvs in the man cave. If your football room does not look like a sports bar then you are doing it wrong.

Why? The BCS bitching is wasted energy now. We have a playoff starting next year.

Enjoy what and while you can. These will all be pay per view in the future.

If I can pay $20 bucks a month for an all sports package, stream everything else on Netflix and drop cable/satellite. Then bring it on!

Why did the Pac move their CCG from Friday night to Saturday night? I thought they had a good thing going there having the spotlight all to themselves. This was a dumb move.

It would also be nice to see one of the CCG's to kick off at noon or 1pm EST but the ACC did that the first few years and it was nothing short of a disaster. Of course it also doesn't help when you're getting fanbases from GT, BC, or Wake in the game.

Could you guys and gals imagine if we were in the championship game or playoffs with the weather we are having? Holy crap. Just a matter of time.

Sorry, but you are completely incorrect on this one. Playing the Pac 12 CCG on Friday night sandwiched between the MAC CCG and some other small conference game trying to get national spotlight completely came off as bush league. Nobody had a clue it was even on last year! Play it on the big stage on Saturday where it belongs.

Fox had it last year so they made the call

Fair point, now that you mention it I do recall the discussion we had last year about how it looked small-time playing the game on a Friday night and we were comparing it to the MAC, MWC, etc. But it just seems like playing it on a Friday instead of competing with 2 other major CCG's in the same timeslot would be a better option. I don't recall, but how well was it advertised the past 2 years? Maybe alot of people didn't realize it was being played on Friday night.

On another note, the weather is going to be crappy for the ACC game. Rainy and in the 40's, which is too bad because it's 73 and sunny here now.

Because I enjoy watching the internet burn.
Presuming the new playoff seeding process would be coming to the same conclusion as the BCS Standings, the 4 team playoff this year would be:
FSU
Auburn
Alabama
Michigan State

I'm guessing the following schools would hotly contest that seeding:
Baylor - we only have one loss, too
Ohio State - why does our one loss to the ultimate conference champion a week later make Alabama any better than us?

The two loss teams have less to complain about, but I'm sure Stanford in particular would try as a conference champion.

Yes, the internet will be burning this time next year.

A committee making the final decision will utimately open up even more bitching than the current BCS system....You are going to have at least 6-10 worthy teams for the 4 team playoff. They put 68 teams in the NCAA Basketball tournament and there is complaining and whining all the time. It is a no win situation

That's what I say, when we were left out of the Tourney with 68 teams, we justly upset about it. No matter what system they use, people aren't going to be happy. Remember when USC got screwed even though they were #1 in both major polls?

The system is still better for college basketball.
