Zach Kline leaving Cal...

neither of those QBs were impressive. less depth for Cal, but not a big deal.

Zach has a good arm, earned those 4-stars that everyone loves, but didn't garner a lot of interest. Cal and Oregon State offered him. He isn't the most mobile and athletic kid, and does not possess great height for a Pro-Style guy.

Have heard there's been concerns with accuracy.

Could see him having been an interest of SJSU under our current OC. Not anymore.

If I were him, I'd seriously consider CSU. He'd probably do pretty well there, actually.

There's an unhealthy obsession with some of the DII schools in the area with this being a CU board.

Colorado State University. I had to look it up too. Their Wikipedia page says they're a land-grant university in the northern Colorado city of Fort Collins. I think Kline can still land on his feet at a Division I school though.

Probably because our team plays more like one of them.

Sorry, I'm a graduate from Fort Lewis, class of '07. I just want to see their football team finally compete in the RMAC. As far as DII football goes, the RMAC is pretty decent, CSU-Pueblo had a dude drafted last year.

How many need to leave before Austin Hinder starts looking like a good alternative?

I know he's a Cal legacy, but he ought to have graduated by now (unintended joke). If for some reason Wood were to transfer I wouldn't mind having him come in his senior year and be Sefo's backup, just so we could get a taste of what could have been.

I like to see any team in Colorado do well except the Lammies. While I was growing up in Colorado, Adams St., Mesa and Western St. at times all fielded pretty good teams.

I hope not! Hinder was passed over by 2 true freshman QBs and pretty much every live body since he got to Cal. This guy was an over-rated product that the scouting service created and everyone on this board who watched him in HS knew it. If we end up with an extra scholarship for a year, give it to a deserving walkon who's been busting tail.

^ well great, now we have to worry about his ass having a breakout statistical game against us

I thought if you transferred in conference you had to sit out two years.

Was this just a Big12 rule?

Ex-Cal player goes to Juco to get his grades satisfactory for transfer to Oregon State. Writes itself.
