Mack Brown reportedly stepping down

Sounds more like the wish list of a fan or AD staffer:

Gruden told USC if he goes back to coaching it will Be in the pros.

Harbaugh is not coming back to college he is to competitive to leave the top level of the game.

Mora is unlikely given what just transpired with UCLA and him not takin the UW job for significantly more money.

Gruden- no chance
Harbaugh- no chance
Mora- Probably no chance
Franklin-maybe
Briles- Can't wait for him to leave- **** bailer
Satan- just don't see him leaving for UT.

Briles is their best option. Not sure I want him at UT, but I suppose it doesn't really matter one way or the other. I wouldn't mind seeing **** bailer slither back to irrelevance.

Isn't there some Briles' tension with UT? Don't care. Like Buffs08, I want him gone from Baylor so they can resume their rightful place as the resting place for college football's collective ballsacks.

Feldman is usually well informed and he thinks UT would give those guys a call.

My brother will be happy. I think Briles would be great there. I hope they hire like their 10th choice, **** the Longhorns.

I have no doubt at all that UT would call them. UT is arrogant and self absorbed enough to think that those guys would give them the time of day. I guess that's what I find most amusing. Them calling Saban makes total sense. Saban leaving Alabama for Texas makes no sense at all.

Best outcome is Briles to the Redskins and get him out of the state of Texas completely. Second best option is Briles to UT. ***** bailer.

You're on the right track here.

UT is going to be UT no matter who is coaching them. They've got too many resources and too much pull in one of the nation's recruiting hotbeds to ever be bad. They go 8-4 and it's cause for a meltdown in Austin.

But Baylor could go completely into the crapper if Briles leaves. That won't necessarily happen, but the potential for it is certainly there. And we could use any advantage for recruiting that state.

their top choice is saban. none of the others are realistic. if saban won't go, they will try for a big name. shanahan is going to get whacked at the skins. i'd also look for jimbo fisher's name to be thrown out there a lot.

Why would Jimbo Fisher go? Does he have less resources at FSU, sure. But they can be a force for years to come especially in the ACC.

Of course, our dream scenario is for Briles to go to the Redskins, all the name hires to turn UT down, and the Longhorns end up riding the wave of "in-house hire mania" by promoting Major Applewhite. Meanwhile, Baylor makes a Dykes type hire in an effort to keep the high powered offense rolling.
