Wasn't much on Monday. Game of the day was probably Pittsburgh beating Maryland by 20. Pitt's now 14-1. They host Wake on Saturday. Got to think they'll be ranked if they win that one.

On Tuesday, we get #3 Ohio State at #5 Michigan State (7pm, ESPN) following #7 Baylor at #9 Iowa State (5pm, ESPN2). Great, great matchups.
 
Great thing about this week is 2 top 10 teams have already lost, and two or three more have some pretty tough games. If Buffs take care of business in the PNW and at home these next two weeks, there is going to be quite the matchup in the desert.
 
So anyone still think that Wisco isn't a really good team? They dismantled #22 Illinois tonight. Plus they have a favorable schedule. Play MSU and OSU once and only at home.

Wondering the same myself. I think Illinois is not top 25 in reality, more like mid to upper 30's, but this is a different and more dangerous Wisconsin team than the norm.
 
Wisconsin is looking really good, but can they play that well away from Wisconsin? For a top five team, they need to prove it on the road too. They beat Virginia something like 48-38, so they aren't nearly as explosive away from home. Virginia could have won that game. Looking at other results:

At neutral sites:
beat St Johns - 86-75
beat SLU - 63-57
beat WVU - 70-63

Away games:
beat Virginia - 48-38
beat Wisc-GB - 69-66
beat NW - 76-49

I don't need to go into their home record because they destroy teams at home, and they don't have to go to MSU or OSU this year, so they will probably win the Big 10 this year without much talent, maybe one pro in Dekker. Bo Ryan can really coach.

They are a lot different than previous Wisconsin teams, but usually, Wisconsin has a great regular season and then loses in the tourney.
 
Virginia plays a methodical game so beating them by 10 in Virginia is impressive
Wisconsin-Green Bay is a really good team and always plays "big brother" tough

They also get Michigan State and Ohio State at home....so their toughest road games in Big 10 will be Indiana and probably Minnesota

Wisconsin is a damn good team

They really don't have two. The two best teams in the Big10 ONLY play in Madison. So maybe they lose @Illinois or @Iowa, they may be the Big10 regular season champs when it is all said and done.

I am not saying they are national champs, just that they are a really good team, bordering on elite.
 
Did I see North Carolina lost to Miami last night? Man if they aren't the hardest team to figure in college basketball. They can literally probably beat anybody and lose to anybody at the same time.
 
#24 Memphis @ #12 Louisville is entertaining as hell. 'Ville up by 2 with 14 mins left. We want Memphis for the ranking opportunity and also because of the "opponent of your opponent" thing in RPI (they played 2 games against Okie Lite).

Memphis beat Louisville.

Ole Miss only beat Auburn by 3 -- at home. SEC's very top heavy as usual.
 
UA up four on UCLA with 11 minutes left in the first half. Also, Bill Walton is rambling.
 
Look at all the empty seats in Pauley in the first ten rows behind the benches. Worse than sections 7 & 8 at Coors.

Support for the Cali schools is a joke, elsewhere I'm not sure the support for an ASU or Washington is really any different than that for an NC State or Illinois type typical college program.
 
UCLA Arizona going to go down to the wire. 6 point game with 4 minutes left and UCLA shooting free throws.
 
All tied up. 13-0 run for UCLA. Neither team can hit a free throw.
 
#22 Gonzaga is down 8 at halftime at Portland (9-7). ESPNU.

WCC is looking like a 1-bid league this year. Zags can't afford too many losses in conference play, because they'd miss the Dance if they lost in the conference tourney with the RPI they'd have. The #2 team may be San Francisco, which went 7-5 in the non-conference.

St. Mary's is clearly the 2nd best team in the league, even with a head scratcher of a loss to Santa Clara. They are a low bubble team, with a couple good wins, but some terrible losses too. I was going to mention BYU too, but then I saw what they've done so far, and they're a disaster.
