Not the quickest player. Not the biggest player. Not the best shooter.

But...he plays hard whenever he's in there, his teammates love him, and he now takes over the title of best name on the active roster (with apologies to Ski). In his 33 career minutes (granted most were in garbage time), he's had 18 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, 2 steals, and 3 turnovers. Not saying he should be getting major minutes, but maybe he can surprise us and give us some good backup minutes at the point.

I like Beau. But you're reaching. Let's not get desperate here.

All that needs to happen now is that J-Hop moves into Spencer's role, XT gets an uptick to his minutes, Fletch sees some more minutes to spell Ski, and we've got a few minutes a game for King & Eli to earn.

There is a reason Beau didn't get major conference level D1 scholly offers out of HS.

Great kid with a better attitude but if you are counting on kids like him to win games for you, it won't happen.

Nobody said anything about counting on him to win games. I just said maybe he can give us a few good unexpected minutes a game. And by the way, who cares about where he was recruited? Sabatino Chen was a walk-on transfer for us.

He's one of my favorite Buffs and maybe he can step it up some, but I'm not counting on him to have any major contributions.

Sure it's possible, but that doesn't usually happen.

Sab was on scholarship to DU and had other offers, including from Tad at UNCO. He was also a plus athlete who could guard at least 3 positions. Apples to oranges.

The big thing to consider here is that CU doesn't play zone defense. Our guards have to be able to man up with the likes of Jahii Carson every night. That would be a very tough spot to put Beau or any of the other walk ons into.

I think I'll leave it there, because I like Beau and don't want to say anything negative.

I LOVE Beau. One of my favorite players. If he plays in anything other than a blowout, I'm assuming a few players have died earlier in the game and there are no other options. Hell, Beau probably isn't even our best walk on.

I love Beau too but will only play in blowouts and I am afraid that this year we won't likely be on the winning end of any more of those so I hope we se no more of Beau this year.

Maybe he'll play in the last 10 seconds of our conference tourney game against Oregon.

You mean the guy that Argus tries to kick out of the Student Athlete Section at football games?
