Said this CU team was the best college bball team he has seen in his 35 years here.

The fact that CU BBall even made the radar on a day after a Bronco Raider game is a pretty big deal. Hopefully the games this week will get some attention with the first week bye in the playoffs.

I heard this as well. He made mention of being in attendance for the Kansas and Georgia games said how impressed he was. It's few and far between that the local shows even mention Buffs. Big Al had coach Boyle on a couple weeks ago and that was a great segment.

Sandy is a big college hoops fan. Unfortunately he wouldn't have much of an audience if he didn't talk Broncos all the time like everyone else.

I know a lot of people don't like Sandy, but I'm a huge fan. He's old school radio to a T. There aren't many people that can carry a 3+ hour radio show solo day after day. Good to hear he's giving CU some love and going to some games.

Sandy is a self absorbed arrogant windbag. But I'll take the good press if he's dishing it out.

I tend to agree with this statement. But I will say He knows more than his counterparts, in this age isn't much. I think he needs a co-host to counter his abrasive nature, I'd like to see him talk to people face to face like does while on air.

More love from Sandy this morning. Best ("and I say this with some conviction" lol) college team and coach in the region in 35 years.

that has to have gotten a reaction from certain CSU fans claiming last year's CSU team was better.

yea, but they went a round deeper in the tourney before getting absolutely destroyed by Louisville. Just predicting the thought process

and they lost to the national champ - so that puts them at like.. top 10 in the country right?

#6 by my count.

1 - Louisville
2 - Michigan
3 - Wichita State
4 - Duke
5 - Oregon
6 - Colorado State

but to be fair they probably could have beaten Michigan, Duke, Wichita State and Oregon, so they probably should be #2.

Sandy is the most knowledgeable sports guy on the air. He does have the smug, arrogant attitude thing going, but can back it up with just about anyone in the city. Personally, I hate the happy talk BS that every radio team seems to lean on more and more these days.

Sandy had a segment (a good 15 minutes) on the Buffs yesterday w/ Tom Kensler, focusing on post-Mayor resurgence. Very positive.

Yesterday Evans or Lundy (don't remember or care which) stated that Tad was the best coach in Colorado right now regardless of sport or level.

Intresting point that may very well be right.

It is a good overall question.

Are any of the football coaches better, baseball, hockey, etc.

You could make a pretty good argument for Tad against any of them.
