CU offered today per Scout's Brandon Huffman. Could be a tough one as Joyner committed to the Huskies in November. He's a beast. From the Heraldnet.com story below: "After rushing for over 2,000 yards his sophomore season, Joyner had 100 carries for 1,521 yards and 21 touchdowns in his junior campaign."

I like the confidence in this offer.

We were close to flipping Ballage.. Who knows, maybe MM will win this battle

If you don't ask you never know. Worst that can happen is the guy saying no.

CU has a lot to offer and you never know when a guy like this may get interested and decide to come making a big difference in how fast our rebuilding process is accomplished.

We are recruiting him as a corner and are likely to get a visit. He prefers CB to RB.

Update with Washington 247 site has him visiting us next month. Sounds like CU, Wazzu, and Oregon State are the contenders.

Washington is recruiting him as a RB and it sounds like he was closer to Sark's staff than the current one. Could change, but sounds like mutual disinterest.

Yeah, just read the update. Will be interesting if we can pull him from the PNW.

Very interesting. The last big RB haul I can remember looked pretty good on paper - Scott, Polk, Speedy. It played out to be something entirely different but I would be impressed if we could get at least 2/3 of Joyner, Dedrick Young, and Obinnah.

We are recruiting him as a DB, where he wants to play.

Ah, interesting. Then hopefully he can right away be what Ray Polk ended up being for us, and then some if he stays healthy. Lots of DBs in this cycle who I really wish CU could get. Even in-state there are more names than usual of potential candidates this year.

I'm interested if anyone has any information to share on how Austin's visit to Colorado went last weekend.

Austin's visiting Boise this weekend. It's our annual Spring Game today and the new coaching staff has made a big push to try and have 20K or more in the stands for the scrimmage. Reportedly about 50 prospects are in town.

I would not be surprised if we replaced Wazzu in his top-3 since the Rypien commitment last weekend.

He liked it a lot and wants to come back for a OV. Seems to really like MacIntyre being a DB coach.

Appreciate it 'Tini. Thanks for the tidbit. Sounds like the position coaches and being offered at CB is going to be a pair of Austin's most important selection criteria.

Our secondary feels like a strength on the team. Lots of good attitudes and good competition in there. Hopefully he sees that as a big plus.
