From CU SID David Plati: BOULDER, Colo. - The University of Colorado has selected Levy Restaurants to be its new food and hospitality partner for Folsom Field, the Coors Events Center and all East Stadium Club events, athletic director Rick George announced Wednesday.
If the Levy Restaurants name rings familiar to Coloradoans, it is because it has partnered with the Pepsi Center since it opened in October 1999. Levy has created and operated the food and hospitality experiences of the Pepsi suites, club level and press room for Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche games, concerts and touring shows, along with handling private special events.
In addition to all the game day and non-game day food and beverage experiences for Folsom Field, Levy will also oversee the hospitality needs of both the planned north end zone club in the stadium and the northeast terrace in CU's Athletic Complex Expansion, which is expected to break ground later this spring with a target completion date of August 2015. As part of the multi-million dollar renovation project, Levy and CU will partner to design a customized experience for Buffalo fans which also includes a refresh of concessions areas.
"We are excited about our partnership with Levy," George said. "They are known in this industry for the quality of their food and their hospitality is excellent. We are looking forward to new opportunities as we begin our long-term relationship with Levy."
CU and Levy have agreed to a 10-year contract that commences this April 1; it includes an option to extend after five years.
"We love CU's commitment to creating great fan experiences and share their strategic vision to bring them to a new level through food and hospitality," said Andy Lansing, Levy Restaurants President and CEO. "We are thrilled to work together in every aspect, from broadening culinary offers, being mindful of campus sustainability and welcoming guests with hospitality that embodies the pride of the University of Colorado."
