SECSPN

Espn has been complete **** for years outside of their actual game programming

SEC football is great. Sorry, but I'd rather watch Georgia/Tennessee or LSU/Auburn than just about any Pac 12 game that doesn't involve the Buffs.

Really Tennessee? I think it just matters on how good the matchups are, then it really doesn't matter.

Don't mind the football, but they are using the SEC media days as a launch party for the network. That's to be expected I guess, I just wonder how much it's going to continue to be integrated with regular espn going forward. They did a bit of that with the longhorn network at first before they realized that was a bad idea.

Yeah. Sure. Tennessee. Why not? They have that whole checkered end zone and the 100K+ stadium thing going for them. The thing I like about SEC football (outside of UK and Vandy) is that the fans are super passionate. They show up, no matter the opponent. Football is a religion to them.

Agree

I guess if I'm going to watch teams that I don't care about, they should be good unless there is nothing else on. Tennessee vs Ole Miss does nothing for me if they aren't playing for anything.

Ole Miss has a GREAT tailgating scene -

damn ! love that red dress

People are sick of the SEC because they almost always win the NC and the perception, at least, is that they don't play by the same rules as most schools.

That's what I hate about the SEC. Also, the large number of functional retards that make up the rosters.

Total opposite for me. Those games hold very little appeal. I don't find the football any more superior and have little respect for the shenanigans prevalent in that filthy conference.

I just love college football. I don't care what conference it is. Sec and the PAC are obviously the best games in terms of talent but big ten games will always be awesome because of the fan bases are so loyal and I love when teams from cold weather cities do well.

When CU is playing away, this is my TV watching hierarchy.

Priority 1: CU first quarter / half. Angerly change the channel at least 5 times before halftime. Angerly drink at least 5 beers before halftime.
Priority 2: Games in hurricanes
Priority 3: Games where NU is losing
Priority 3: Games in other craptastic weather
Priority 4: Close SEC games
Priority 5: Games where Texas is losing
Priority 6: Close PAC12 games
Priority 7: Trick shot billiards
Priority 8: CU games in the 3rd / 4th quarter when we're down 20+
Priority 9: PAC 12 games
Priority 10: Nap

Honerable mention: World's strongest man competition

The last time I watched every play of a CU game on TV? Maybe that WSU win? Ugh.

So now I am moving out to "Football Country" in Memphis, I am really curious if the folks out there are passionate about college football or just their schools/SEC.

For myself and maybe most of you, Saturday morning are waking up and immediately watching whatever FB game is on, watch the CU game, and then catch the late night game. I am not really looking forward to the condescending SEC attitude towards other conferences, but hopeful if it's "football country" I could find some tolerable SEC fans.

Memphis isn't exactly SEC country. Maybe a few Ol Miss fans, but that's probably about it. I think you're more likely to be able to strike up a spirited conversation on college hoops than you will college football.

I suspect you will come across a bunch of Arky and Tennessee fans...

Just cut the cord on Direct tv. The final pitch to me was all of the exciting SEC/ESPN programming on the way. "Rats ass" was used correctly in my sentence. **** 'em, I'm done.

College Football is King in the South and the SEC reaps the benefits of that. High Level Recruits don't notice the scenery or the school. They don't care is our mascot is the coolest mascot in all of college football. They see that football is a priority at SEC schools, they notice that the entire state comes out to tailgate, they notice that the town and campus becomes one large party for the weekend and they notice that no one is apologizing that football is the biggest priority and that the football program is a huge money maker. If CU and the rest of the PAC 12 can make that happen they too will see the benefits. I believe our AD and Head Coach both have a vision and we are starting to see the change

More of the same.

I always laugh when people complain about SEC overexposure. They're pretty clearly the best quality college football with the most serious football fans. Why WOULDN'T ESPN focus on them more?
